my inlaws are visiting from abroad. Before they go home, I'd like to take them to the yummiest steakhouse on this side of the Mississippi!
So please tell me where you have tried the most juiciest, flavorful steak. City or suburbs!
My husband and I have always enjoyed our visits to the Chicago Chop House, downtown on Ontario. Haven't been there since having the kids, though!
Chicago magazine printed a lengthy article on "The 20 Best Steakhouses" in their November 2008 issue. I don't know if it is possible to find a back issue, but that would give you a lot of detailed info. (Chicago Chop House made the list!)
Gibson's or Morton's downtown.
Smith and Wolensky's or Gibsons. Morton's downtown was a disappointment. If you want to be were the action is and people watch, Gibson's (you may even see a celebrity there, we have twice!)

J Alexander's on Clybourne is great and I think there is one out in the burbs, maybe Lombard or somewhere west.

J Alexanders in Oakbrook, a tad bit north of Oakbrook Mall - the best!! We always go there for our anniversary...we've tried a few other places and were very disappointed - even after we spent over $100 just on the two of us.
YUMMMMMM~we just discovered THE GREAT ESCAPE on West Irving Park Road. THE best ribs!
