BIG RED CAR.

I figured since the other tootin songs are getting some love today why not the wiggles. Whats your favorite wiggles song?
If you were to ask my professional musical opinion I'd vote for Fruit Salad. It has all of the musical nuances of a young mozart=) If you asked my child she would tell you the wiggles are not good, but she did like them live when she saw them with her cousin last year who is a big fan of their repetitve melodies. She prefers bright eyes, frank turner, Elvis, M J, and System of a down (of course edited)

So whats your favorite Wiggles song and what kid of music does your child like?

Oh and do you blast kiddie songs and rock out on occassion with the windows down even when your kids not in the car?

I have rocked out to Tomorrow from Annie on numereous occasions before realizing it=) I still continues after I got the stares

What can I do next?

I don't like fruit salad at all. I think that hot potato is the fave - I also like the one with Leo Sayer - You make M. feel like dancing.

Fruit Salad! I found myself humming it when we were cutting fruit in my Basic Food Prep class in culinary school. My chef instructor walked by, heard M. humming and started singing it, lol!

My 7 year-old loved the Wiggles for many years, and we saw them live 3 times. We used to listen to the music all the time. It's been a while since he's been into them, but I won't get rid of the CDs or DVDs yet. J. can't.

Can't think of my favorite because I really did enjoy listening to all of the songs with my son.

If I'm flipping through channels and see them on tv, I'll always ask if he wants to watch, but he'll say, "I already saw that one, mom," which is his way of saying he's not into them anymore.

Still haven't unsubscribed from their website, so we still get e-mail from them. I rarely ever open these e-mails, but I did today and found out that Jeff, Greg, and Murray are retiring from touring later this year. Anthony is going to continue with three new younger gen Wiggles. Ah, the true end of an era.....

Now, my son is into the Kidz Bop music, some of which I can actually listen to, but thankfully, he also appreciates Green Day, Pearl Jam, the Beatles, the Who, the Eagles, U2, and other classic music.

We love the Wiggles! All of their songs are so much fun! They are so much fun in concert, too; we had a great time! We also love Laurie Berkner, and there's a station on satellite radio called Kids Place Live that plays a great variety of kids tunes. I am guilty of listening to Kids Place Live at least a few times when my daughter was not in the car. :)

So, so happy to say I have never been exposed musically to The Wiggles!! My daughter is 18 so we must have missed it, although I attended way too many "boy band" concerts to keep track of.

My daughter like Rock a Bye you Bear (I think that's the name) and Fruit Salad. But I do find myself singing Toot Toot Chugga Chugga on occasion.

My husband has her loving Seven Spanish Angels sung by Ray Charles and Willie Nelson. She has to have this song on in the car and she already know some of the words to it, and she is only 3

My daughter liked the Wiggles when she was really little. I liked the older wiggle shows with the original cast Haven't seen any of the new ones. I like when they got the kids involved in the show. You know many of those kids were actually the casts kids? But the big group number with all the kids were her favorite

Big red car, hot potato and The Wiggles World are my favs. My (now 7) daughter loved them and our new addition (almost 1) loves them too. We J. got tickets to see them in concert in August. I am so Happy that Greg is back with them as Sam was not a fav in my household.
We also love Laurie Berkner, Dan Zanes, Ralph Covert (Ralphs World) and the Dirty Sock Funtime Band for kids music. My little one loves the Fresh Beat Band and my oldest loves anything Pop. We usually get the Now That's What I Call Music Cds as the versions are clean and I learned this the hard way when I downloaded a version of the Black Eyed Peas Boom Boom Pow that had some undesirable language in it ...lol
