Just as a side...Suave Kids Detangling Spray works great at getting static out of my hair. I keep a bottle in my desk at work and use it when I get in and take off my scarf. It's the only thing I've found that works.
Hi Ladies,
Tis the season for static-y hair, dry skin, and static-y furniture. Any ideas how how to make the furniture have less static?
I feel like I am getting shocked all the time when I sit on our furniture, and my little girl loves to jump on the cushions when we stack them up for her, and boy you should see her hair after she plays..lol
Thank you ladies! I was figuring a humidifier was the need, but wasn't certain. I'm ready to be rid of the dry air and all the static.
Thanks again :)

You can also mix some downy with water in a spray bottle and spray down the furniture. Works pretty well on microfiber. Search the internet for the right mix. We have a whole house humidifier but it tends to either run up my water bill or the pipes to it get condensation on them and drip onto the suspended ceiling and cause mold. So we dont really use it.
Rub fabric softener sheets on your furniture.
And your daughter's head.
(Just kidding).
Rub lotion on your daughter's skin before a jumping session.
Can of Static Guard will do the trick. I use it all the time on clothes, rugs, furniture (not leather though). Not the greenest solution of course.
Also consider either a humidifier for the house, or simmer a pot of water on the stove for an hour or so every day!

Run a humidifier or get O. added on to your furnace.
Until you get a humidifier you can boil a pan of water on the stove. We do that, you just make sure it doesn't boil dry.
A quick search on a couple of websites that specialize on the subject inspired me to add a couple of tips.
First: The stand-alone humidifiers were more highly recommended as the ones attached to your furnace are said to need regular cleaning and tend to collect mold and create health problems.
Second: If you use the 6:1 ratio of fabric softener to water in a spray bottle, use it sparingly and do not spray it on pet hair. They will lick it and it is toxic. So, I would take that to mean that you do not want to spray objects a young child will tend to put in their mouths.
