I have a couch that produces static, how do you control it? After my son gets off the couch he looks like he's a science experiment with his hair standing on it's ends.
I've heard you can wipe things down with a "cling control" new fabric softener sheet. Hope it works.
You need to keep the humidity level in your home down. That's what causes static.
Static guard or febreeze.
It might not be the couch. You can try static guard. But, in the winter, and/or drier it gets here, there's static. You can try applying lotion too.
Humidifier or swamp cooler. This time of year, all the moisture is sucked out of the air (and your skin for that matter).
You can also try a wet towel draped over a fan that's on. Letting the steam escape the shower into other parts of your house. You could also try one of those tabletop fountains.
Spray it with Static Guard, same as you would your slips. You can get it at any store. Also, if you wear your slip inside out, it helps with the static.
I use static guard on my clothes maybe that would help. I agree about the once used dryer sheets. Put hair spray in his hair. You could try very diluted laundry softener. During the driest months it's just something we come to expect. A humidifier for the house def could help.

Maybe try rubbing once used dryer sheets???? If you use brand new they seem a bit sticky.
Lotion? maybe water it down and put on a cloth, then wipe? that is how you get rid of it on your skin??
Microfiber, huh? My BIL has the same thing going on. Yes, you can do Static Guard, but with the latest reports coming out, I'd be leery of that stuff, especially if your household has anyone with asthma or allergies or very young kids. Even pets can be affected by it.
In truth, I'd call the manufacturer. Running a dryer sheet or two over it will help, but again, the chemicals can be an issue. Having a humidifier in the house would help. But in general, I just think our desert air isn't conducive to having any furniture made with microfiber.
static is usually produced in a dryer environment - especially air conditioning - you might try humidifying the room with the couch with a small fountain or a potpourri simmering pot since it's now too chilly to use the evaporative cooler - even some plants in the room can help balance the environment
