Needing a Great Dermotologist

Hi ladies. I am having issues with my face - It is very dry and my lips keep cracking at the corners. I have tried antibiotic ointments, Bag Balm, among other creams, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. I do not like to wear make-up everyday, but the dryness, flakyness and discoloration bother me so I cover it up with make-up. I am in the OP/Olathe area and this would be my first time visiting a dermotologist. I pulled the list of doctors that my insurance company accepts, but I was hoping to get some referrals. After dealing with this for a year, I would love to get my face fixed. Thanks for your feedback.

What can I do next?

Hi R.,

Have you ever tried Monavie? It is an Acai juice blend from the Amazon. I know it may sound funny, but if you feed your body the right nutrition (High quality fruits and veggies), you body will respond with high quality results. Dr Nicholas Perricone (Oprah's anti-aging Doctor)has listed the Acai berry his #1 superfood for helping and healing skin from the inside out.

The juice has saved some of my friend lots of $ at doctors and medications.

I am 38 and I have had amazing results from the juice. My skin has been clear, and problem free since I started the juice. I no longer need lots of lotions or acne medicine, in fact, all I use now is face soap in the morning, BareMinerals powder fountation and a little moisturizer at night.
I also have quite a few family and friends who have been drinking the juice and all say that their skin and complextion has never been better!

Check it out at www.thegreatproduct.com/scoggin or shoot me an email and I can send you some specific articles I have on Acai and the skin. ____@____.com

I go to Johnson County Dermatology - Jessie Watts. She is really nice, professional, and it doesn't take long to get in to see her. She will have suggestions for you and will supply you with samples before you have to get a prescription. Their # is ###-###-#### and they are by the Olathe Hospital on 151st St. Good luck!

I go to Dr. Kaplan in OP. He is an adult and pediatric dermatologist and the best I have found. I have crazy skin and he knew exactly how to fix each issue and the cause of it. HIGHLY recommened! Check out his web site... http://www.drkaplanmd.com/index.html

R. - Hi. It sounds like you need a good line of skin care to me. I would be happy to get you a sample of the skin care line I represent... It is botanically based - no chemical fragrances or coloring, no mineral oil, etc. and dermatologist tested. I promise it's best stuff! You can try it with no obligation to buy. Let me know if you'd like to hear more or give it a try.

I use Johnson County Dermatology. They're across the street from Olathe Med. next to the Holiday Inn. I see a PA named Mischon (sp?) and have always received good care. I've referred a couple of people there with good results. If you're ok with seeing a PA I think you can get in fairly quickly. Good luck.

I second the referral to Dr. Kaplan, he's awesome! I also have a friend who is a Derm. and she is a genius. She is down on the plaza at St.Lukes Dermatology and Plastic Surgery ###-###-####. I can honestly say that Mon Avie works...I have perfect skin and I used to have breakouts around my period. I have been drinking it for 2 months now and have not had a zit!! Plus I have more energy than I know what to do with and my appetite has decreased. It's crazy but it works!!! I became a distributor as well because it ROCKS!!!

I'm a 33 year old mom of 19 month old Charlotte and 3 year old Brady.

Good luck,
S. Henry

R. - Hello! I recently went to Dr. Carol Foulds. She's in Corporate Lakes off of 123 and Metcalf, just south of Schlotzky's and 24 hour fitness. She did a great job and seemed thorough. She's a little strange :), but very nice and seems very knowledgeable. I am going back for 2 more appts. She also does various skin procedures - facials, microderma stuff. :) Anyway, good luck!
