Need Dermatologist in Olathe or Corporate Woods Area

I have skin allergies and have found it impossible to find a deodorant/antiperspirant that works that I am not allergic to. I've tried everything from Secret to Clinical Strengths to hypo-allergenic Neutragena. The only one that doesn't make me break out in a horribly itchy rash that lasts the better part of two weeks is Dove, but it doesn't seem to work very well. I haven't been able to identify the exact ingredient I am allergic to which is why after way too may years, I have decided to go to a dermatologist. My son and I also suffer from excema. We have a steroid ointment that will clear it up fairly quickly, but I hate using steroids on him. We've tried baby Aveeno, aquaphilic ointment, Elidel, just about everything there is to try. So, if anyone knows a good dermatologist in the Corporate Woods area or in Olathe, I'd appreciate their name and number.

What can I do next?

G.-I (and my son) see Jessie Watts at Johnson County Dermatolody. Their number is ###-###-####. The office is located next to the Olathe hospital. She is great! Here is the website:

Good luck.

you might try College Park Family Care Center located on 112th off of College Blvd. They have a lot of doctors and specialists. My brother has gone to the allergy specialist there and got really good results as to finding out all his allergies. I know a lot of people that go there and really like it. Because they have so many doctors and variety of specialists, you can get most procedures done right there in the same office. They have acute care hours and can usually get in the same day when sick.

I see Dr. Amanda Tauscher at Johnson County Dermatology. She came recommended by several different people. Her number is ###-###-####. Their office is located by the Holiday Inn and Olathe Hospital off 151st St. Good luck!

G. - I would highly recommend going to see Dr Troy Rockers at 801 N MurLen(lower level)in Olathe, 66062. ###-###-#### Used to be the Urgent Care/Keller Williams building.
He is doing amazing things with alergies called Bio Allergenix. Tell him D. sent you!

G., I know you said you were looking for a dermatologist, but I wanted to tell you that my husband AND my sister in law both had issues with deodorant, and found that Tussy brand worked great for both of them. It is hard to find nowdays, Walmart used to carry it but I can't find it there anymore. We buy it at CVS or Walgreens now, and it is only about a dollar a container. Don't know if you are interested or not, but thought I'd let you know.

Dr. Anne Kettler with College Park Family Care in Stanley. ###-###-####

I also am responding to the deodorant, not the dermatologist. Have you tried any non-traditional deodorants? I went on a search for a natural deodorant that worked for me, because I didn't like some of the associations with the aluminum that is the active ingredient in most deodorants, especially while nursing my children. Anyway, after trying many, some didn't work very well, some worked but were a pain, especially when dressing nice (just rubbing baking soda under my arms works well, but it's hard to do while wearing a little black dress), some worked but I didn't like the smell, etc. Anyway, I was reluctant in trying the rock crystal deodorant, but it has worked well for me. You may give that a try, as a change in deodorant is much cheaper than medicine. What I use is Lafe's brand and is a rock that you get damp and rub on like normal deodorant. It cost my about $4 and has lasted many months and seems as if it will last forever. ... anyway, just a thought!
