Need Church Home

I go to an awesome church in mesquite...I live in Irving and would drive twice the distance to go here..it is smaller....pastor encourages use of gifts...he says we are all equal....Holy Spirit led every sunday...I have seen awesome stuff...I finally feel like I have a family ..not just another service....It's called Potters Wheel...website is potterswheel.org

covenant church in Carrollton, Tx.

We are members of Grace Community Church in Plano. It sounds like it might be very much like you're looking for. You can visit their website at www.findgrace.org I love it there!

Check out Prestonwood... Just google it... they have a great website and offer something for EVERYONE!!! its a HUGE church, so if that intimidates you, then you might not fit in, but if large crowds are ok - it's fantastic!!! They have great bible studies for single moms, and contemporary service.
Also, there's Grace Outreach off of Preston Road, in Plano - and it's very diverse, contemporary, and very bible oriented. My husband and I have spent the last year searching for a church home. We were in the north dallas area, and have recently moved to East Dallas, so our search continues... but we enjoyed those churches, and probably would have decided on one if it wasn't' for the move across town...

My family and I attend Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton and love it! We searched for ever to find "our" church and although it's a large church, we found it was right on the money, biblically speaking. I'm very passionate about how they spend so much time and money on missions, from local to around the globe. They music is contemporary and they greatly emphasize joining or starting a small group or "LifeGroup" so that you can connect individually in a large congregation. They have many mid-week worship, class and prayer opportunities and there are 4 services on Sundays. If you visit, beware of the construction, they are building a new sanctuary. We go to an awesome church in west Frisco called Celebration Covenant. It's all the things you are looking for, but I realize it may be too far to drive. Our "covering" church that helped get us started 6yrs. ago is Covenant Church in Carrollton-Pastor Mike Hayes. Even though I don't go there I've always heard really good things about it. That may help you. I've also heard good things about Prestonwood, but I'm not sure if they speak in tongues, etc.

Check out www.northstarchurch.cc . We are in Frisco and currently do not have an actual building but it is all the things you are looking for. The only thing we do not have with the exception of a building at this point is Wednesday night services. We are a new church that is Pastored by Blaine Bartel. Our sister church is from Tulsa, OK, it is Church on The Move Pastored by Willie Goerge. We call ourselves "inter-denominational" because we believe that all denominations are here for a reason.
If you have already found a church that is so awesome!!!! but if not then please check ours out. Me and my family, after looking for a long time, have finally found our church home!

I attend First Baptist Lewisville (on Valley Ridge in Lewisville), and I absolutely love it. I have never been to the contemporary service (my Sunday School class meets at that time), but I've heard really great things about it from some friends at the church. There are lots of opportunities to serve, and they treat their members sooooooo well. You will be greated with open arms, and guided through what-ever you may need with loving hands!

Have you looked into Covenant Church in Carrollton. It is near Marsh on Trinity Mills. Lots of singing, hand waving, jumping up and down and everyone participates. The Pastor preaches from the bible. It is a non-denominational, multi-racial church that is very loving and inviting. They have lots of bible study opportunities and many chances to serve. There is predominantly contemporary music with a nice mix of some glorious gospel!

Wow! I have the church for you, except it is in Irving off Hwy. 161. It is Calvary Church, with Pastor J. Don George. It is all of the above plus some. It is an awesome church!!!!!!!! We attend Grace Outreach Center at Preston Road and Parker in Plano. Racially it's well balanced, Pastor Brooks teaches from the bible, you are free to speak & sing in tongues and you are provided with an outline to fill in and follow during service, which can be used to study from later in the week. They offer services on Wed night, Sat night and twice on Sunday. They offer age appropriate children's church. I am in Frisco and so Covenant is a far drive for me, but I was wondering if anybody knew anything about Stonebriar church off Preston Road. I need a church home and my husband recently got SAVED!

My family and I have also been attending the Grace Community Chruch... it is off of Hedgecoxe and Pleasant Valley in Plano. We really enjoy the church.
