I have a 2 month old baby boy and am wanting to lose weight. I gained 50 pounds with my first son and didn't lose any of it so now that I am done having babies I am wanting to lose all my baby wieght. My husband and I have a trip planned to Mexico in Nov so I am wanting to look good for it. I have tried to diet on my own in the past and had no luck so this time I think I am going to try LA weight loss. Has anyone done it before and what were your results? Is it worth the money?

I actually joined Slim4Life. I loved it. I lost 30 pounds in 14 weeks. It was a great life changing event. Slim4Life is similar to LA Weightloss. I owuld definately recommend the program. It was pricey but worth every penny. They helped me lose weight with one on one counceling.

Good luck!

I just lost 28 pounds by switching my lunch to a 5 grams of fat or less Lean Cuisine and joining the Dimple Dell Fitness Center (Salt Lake County Recreation center). I have Altius Health Plans for health insurance and for three people, it is only $42 a month for all their classes at all of their 17 or so locations! I do their classes on Monday and Wednesday (for the last two months)and people have noticed the difference. I absolutely recommend it!

From September to April I've lost 28 pounds (the 1st 20 was the Lean Cuisine only)....Eat for health, don't buy the junk (then you won't eat it), watch the consumable calories in drinks (people always miss those) and work out for at least an hour three days a week. I lost it in 8 months (about 1-2 pounds a week) and it's going to stay off!

Daycare for my two kids is only $2.50 and hour, so there was no childcare excuse. They even have a TV showing the daycare in the classes so I can watch my kids! It's great!

Good Luck!

There are 2 great weight loss websites that are completely free. I was on www.babyfit.com while I was pregnant and breastfeeding. After I was done breastfeeding, I went to www.sparkpeople.com. It's the sister site to Babyfit. They are both great, have tons of articles, message boards and you can customize your plan to whatever helps you out the best. Not only that, you can use just about any diet you've been wanting to try and substitute recipes. They also have great exercises to try. If you have any questions about them, you can send me a message here. My sparkpeople home page is http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=VIOBURN I hope this helps!!

I also tried LA Weight Loss after I had my baby and loved it. The first year and a half of my sons life I tried to lose it on my own, but just couldn't get the weight off. LA was kind of expensive, but I lost 20 lbs using the program. They teach you how to eat the foods around you instead of the TV dinners. Working out and getting my 8 glasses of water a day really helped with my weight loss too. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

A girl on my soccer team did LA weight loss and lost 50 pounds over the course of a year. I lost my baby weight by joining the YMCA and working with a trainer. She put me on a program that includes cardio3-4 times a week (I do the 30 minute weight loss program on the eliptical) and weight lifting targeting specific body areas. The weight came off steadily over 3 months and is still coming off. I also changed my diet to cut out most carbs, drink tons of water, and I switched from regular soda to diet soda. One day a week I eat what ever I want without guilt.

It's been a frustrating process but I'm seeing results finally.
Good luck to you.

I saw a news report on tv one time and it didn't give favorable reviews for the clinic.

I gained 50+ pounds with my first and 40+ with my second. What I suggest is that you start moving. I found that walking, even if it is only for 10 minutes at a time helps. Drink more water, if you haven't done that already. Make these small changes and go from there. Also, rent or buy some workout video. I don't have time to go to the gym, so I workout with my videos.

I hope this will help you a little. Good luck!

I have tried LA and found it to be a waste of time and alot of money. Then I seen it as one of the bad diet centers on 20/20. So I bought the book about the 3 hour diet and learned to eat small meals and portion control and lost 10 pounds so far. Hope this helps.

I tried LA weight loss. It was bad news. I didnt lose any weight and had to buy their products (which were very expensive). They also have you pay for the full program up front and if you dont want to do it anymore (I didnt since it wasnt working) it is impossible to get a refund. I have also done Weight Watchers. I love it and will be doing it again once the doc clears me (just had a baby 2 1/2 weeks ago). I lost 20 pounds in about 8 weeks. Not bad!! Good luck

LA weightloss is a scam...they are trained to SELL their products. I signed up for LA Weightloss. I was not impressed. The counselors are NOT trained for weightloss, only to SELL. DateLine NBC did a story on LA Weightloss and they found out what I am telling you. Be careful, very very careful. Don't get scammed.

Have you ever heard of OA? It's a non-profit twelve-step program to treat overeating. Have a ____@____.com free to email me, too, ____@____.com.
I know what it's like to deal with stress eating, I have eaten to medicate my feelings in the past and OA has helped me gain new coping tools rathern than turning to the food.
