I Need a Good Place to Eat for Our 1St Wedding Anniversary!

My husband and I are coming up on our 1st wedding anniversary on October 25. We are planning to spend 2 days and nights at the Sybaris (probably), and on our actual anniversary we want to go to a nice restaurant. Nice and expensive for us is usually The Olive Garden. But I want even fancier than that. I want to dress up and go out to a romantic dinner with the atmosphere and great food... you know what I mean? Any ideas, preferably on the north or west (or northwest) side of town, since that's where we'll be staying at the Sybaris? Also, any other hotel requests would be appreciated. We know we want a jacuzzi suite and a nice room, but that's all we really care about. We are choosing the Sybaris for now because it is romantic and has the jacuzzi suite and it's about the only place we know of!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Your advice was very appreciated. We ended up actually getting a great deal on airfare + hotel + car rental to go to Miami, FL!! We went there to port our cruise for our honeymoon, so it was nice to go back. We stayed in this resort called the Newport Beachside Resort.... if you're ever in Miami, try it! It's awesome! They had 6 restaurants, 3 bars, a pool and kiddie pool, private beachfront, fishing pier, 1 and 2 room suites that are pretty nice, all w/ wall beds and full kitchens, 2 arcades, and a theater for the kids that has pool tables in the back for when there's not a movie playing. They also orchestrate activities (about 75% were family, the other 25% were adult, but pretty much bc they involved alchohol... nothing risque) every single day of the the week. We ate at their fancy restaurant there, but they were located right on the main road and across from the main causeway in Miami. It was very busy on the outside, but once you go inside it's very laid back and resorty. Anyhow, wanted to throw that out there in case anyone ever takes a trip there. And also, thanks everyone for your suggestions!

Go to Don Shula's at the Westin Hotel. It is very nice, and very quiet. They have excellent steaks and seafood. I will warn you they can be a little pricey. I spent 300.00 on my anniversary one year, but you can go there for about 175.00.

I hear Sullivan's Steakhouse is excellent, it's on 86th St. Dressy, not "over the top" expensive but very very nice. We were going to go there for our company Christmas party last year but no one wanted to get that dressed up.
Rick's Cafe Boatyard is very romantic, overlooks the Eagle Creek resevoir and you can get patio seating, it's over by Eagle Creek Park.

Check out the Melting Pot. I'm not sure of what it is, but the website has great info on the place itself. It's advertised on 99.5 WZPL alot, and when I checked it out online, it looked great...VERY Romantic. Hope it helps, and if not what your looking for (remember, trying new things together, can create Romance on its own), hope you find some more good suggestions.
