I have to have this procedure soon. If you have had this please tell me if you had any side effects? How did you feel right after the surgery? I'm scared so anyone who has had this done, please share your thoughts on it. Thank you.

What can I do next?

i had mine done on 11/5. i also had my tubes tied at the same time. when i FIRST woke up, i was in severe pain for about 30 minutes, not really sure if it was from the ablation or the tubal, but it was rough at first! since then i've been FINE. some mild cramping, very light discharge, no big deal really though. don't be nervous - you'll do fine!

I had the option in 2001 to have the Ablation or Complete Hysterectomy. I chose the Complete Hysterectomy and it was the absolute BEST thing I ever did.

The reason I made my choice is that my Dr. said sometimes the Ablation does not "take" and you have to go back. I wanted to be DONE. I would make my same choice again in a second.

My SIL, opted for the Ablation and she has no regrets, never any issues and she is pleased with her decision.

I just had the Novasure ablation done in March of this year. It went super smooth - and I felt fine until about an hour after I got home, then I hurt like heck for several hours - but pain meds and motrin helped. Then after that night - I was fine! I did bleed post procedure longer than my doctor expected and I had to take progesterone and it stopped - I have been period free ever since!

K.,

I had the endometrial ablation done a year and a half ago.I had cramping the first day of having it done. Felt like labor pains, but after that I was fine. I have not had problems other than once or twice I have had symptoms of my period starting where I did cramp even though I don't have a period. Other than that no problems.
