Question About Endometrial Ablation
I've had a very heavy menstrual cycle since I was a teen. It is controlled while on the pill; however I am not interested in going back on the pill. (My hubby has a vesectomy.) Another option is endometrial ablation. I'm seriously considering the procedure, but I'm just wondering if anyone has had the procedure or know if knows someone who has had the procedure and what the outcome was.

I am a 42 year old mother of two and a granmommy of one! I had the procedure done in May and have had GREAT results! I have had NO problems and do not have ANY heavy bleeding! I am very glad I had it done! It only took about 3 days to recover and that was mostly RESTING. NO PAIN. :)

After 3 children by C-section my cycles became heavier and longer. For a year they were 25 days long at a time~making my iron very low. I opted to do the Endometrial Ablation. I have been very happy with it. I was warned that a % of women will stop having cycles all together which was fine with me. I am now have a 3 day max cycle that is lighter than ever imaginable.
I was very please with the results compared to the other options.
Good luck on your decision!

I had the same problem two years ago. I had the endometrial ablation and my tubes tied. The relief lasted about a year and then I had to have a hysterectomy last summer. There wasn't much recovery from the 1st procedure but if I had to do it again I would have had the hysterectomy to begin with.
