Best Printer to Buy?

I was looking at purchasing a printer but I'm so confused as to which one to get??? I recently got involved in couponing so I would like one that would be good for printing online coupons therefore probably would need one where the ink isn't so gosh darn expensive to replace. I also like to print photo's of my girls so a nice quality printer for photos would be nice as well. Also I'm not sure if I would benefit from having one that has a fax....it would be nice to have one instead of always having to use a public one...but we don't have a phone line so can you even have a fax without a telephone line? We have comcast for our internet so it's cable-I don't know anything about that kind of stuff. The main goal is to find a very cheap printer that will do good for couponing and printing pictures. Any suggestions? Any tips? Cost is the main issue-it needs to be cheap....maybe hopefully with all the couponing I could afford to get a more expensive printer later on-lol! Thanks for your advice as always!

What can I do next?

I have a Brother (can't remember the model) all in one type printer. HP makes great printers but they have no option for single color cartridges. I could go check my supply but I think it is yellow that runs out last. I hated throwing those darn things away when only one of three colors ran out.

Anyway Brother makes some good ones as does Cannon.

Love my Epson Artisan 800. The ink is a bit pricey, but isn't all ink expensive? :)

Hello !

When I'm buying a printer, the only thing I take into consideration is the cost of the ink cartridges. In terms of print quality... unless you're a professional graphic designer or artist, they're all the same. As for the faxing, look into online fax services. Some are free, depending on the quantity of faxes sent.

Hope this helps.

Usually when I don't know what to buy, I head to the Geeks R Us guys and ask them which product is better. Since they fix computers, etc., I trust their judgement. I use Epson for printing pictures or send them to Snapshot. You do need a phone line for a fax. We have OKI (color) and Brother (B/W) printers. Best to get a laser rather than ink jet.

I have a hp photosmart c6250 & I love it. It scans & prints & you can save right to your computer or printer. You also can put right in your memory card & print that way. I bought it a few years ago because & wanted to save money on printing pics out. We get photos done & only buy the 8x10 then scan & print out pics for the fam. They come out great & it was about $150 back in 2007. It is still running strong so I think you can't go wrong with a hp.

I have the Canon Pixma MP560 and LOVE, LOVE it!! Not pricey at all~I think Best Buy sells it for around $99. It is a printer, scanner, copier all in one, and has a pop-up screen to preview stuff before printing it. It has photo settings, has a USB input, which is nice since you can plug your camera directly into it. It also has wireless ability. And best of all, the cartridges are not expensive!! They are only about $14 at Officemax. As for faxing, I have an efax number, and it works just fine with that since I can just scan the items for faxing via the efax I have set up. I think it's an all over wonderful printer!! I have gone thru tons of printers, and this is the first time I'm truly happy.

My niece works at a print shop. We have an Epson, a Canon and an HP. The only one we have not had problems with is the HP. My niece and the owner of the store told me that HP is the only one that is going to last and the ink cartridges are coming down in price.
