looking for a place to go for a night with husband not too far from manhattan( 1 or 2 hours away) in the early fall. did berkshires last year-any other suggestions?berkshires b & b's and hotels want 2 night minimum and can't do that this year. many thanks.

Please check out the Stanton House in Greenwich,CT. It's easy to get to, reasoanble and quite lovely as a getaway for two or someplace to bring the family. I hope that you enjoy it.

what about New Hope PA? its about an hour and a half from the city. artsy, funky shopping,antiques, great restaurants, a theater. nice getaway for one night. lambertiville is close by, too.

Look into New Hope, PA....not only great bed and breakfasts, but lots to see and do. A quaint little town with great restaurants and shops.

You could try Cape May in N.J.or the Poconos Outdoor World. Have fun
Try looking at b&b in Jim Thorpe Pa. It's beautiful in the fall.
