Trip for 10Th Anniversary

My husband and I would like to plan a trip for a 3 day weekend somewhere for our 10 year anniversary coming up in October. Do you have any favorite weekend getaways or suggestions? We are willing to fly anywhere in the continental US or drive a few hours. It could be fun and/or romantic. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Try Makinaw Island. My husband and I have been going there for 19 years to celebrate our anniversary - Now 40 years. Stay in one of the bed and Breakfasts on the Island - In October there are fall deals some places.

The Sanctuary at Wildwood near Three rivers Michigan. It's a B&B and the owners, Dick and Dolly are very sweet and accomodating. They have a website, feel free to check it out. www.sanctuaryatwildwood.com
I would say, if you only have 3 days, stay in MI and enjoy as much time as possible together.
Congrats on 10! My 10th is this year, too...in July.
Have fun!

K.-My husband and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year too in May and we were also looking for a 3-day weekend trip. We are not going to be able to travel though because I will be 9 mos pregnant=) so that's our present instead. But before I got pregnant we were looking into Cabo San Lucas which is relatively inexpensive and not too far away but you feel like you are far away and it looks really beautiful. Also my husband and I enjoy staying at a Bed & Breakfast that is in Port Huron Michigan and it's not as far away or as tropical but it really is romantic and relaxing. It's called The Sage House and the owner's name is Joan and she is great. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you and Happy Anniversary!

we have been to San Juan ..Puerto Rico..Good price flying Spirit Air..when we baught our tickets it was 200 round trip a person...This was a huge treat..this was actually a family trip ...U will find Puerto Rico has many beautiful sites to visit and it very romantic...And they are common wealth of the United states ..they have US currency and u need no passports!! I might add to ..we aren't a "rich" as in money family! Very middle class..4 children..single family income.and were able to set aside for this.

K. there are several places you could go. We could help you explore a few different ideas such as the Florida Keys, California, New York or even a cruise. I am a home-based travel agent and would love the opportunity to give you some different travel packages to look over. The entire process is at no cost to you. The company you purchase the package from will pay the commission. Please feel free to email me with some dates if I can be of any further help. My email is ____@____.com

There is a lovely B&B in Cambridge, MA that I've stayed in. The location is great - just a few blocks from two different stops on the "T" (metro), on the bus line into Harvard Square, and, if you like walking and the weather is good, you can even walk to Harvard Square. Boston is an amazing city, great for walking and checking out the sites. It has it all: cultural events/attractions; sports; historical attractions; natural beauty with the ocean & the Charles River; architectural beauty; great food. The B&B is called A Cambridghouse B&B. This is the web site http://www.acambridgehouse.com/

Other options are Niagara on the Lake and Stratford in Ontario. Stratford usually still has some theatre at that time.
