5 Point Harness Car Seat for a 5 Year Old
I have an Eddie Bauer car seat that is currently set up with the 5 point harness, but can convert to use the car's seatbelt. Their manual states that when my child reaches 40lbs and so-many-inches (I forget offhand how tall), that I should immediately switch out the 5 point harness for the car's seatbelt system. My daughter, who is 5, 41 lbs and well over the height requirement, still uses the 5pt harness as she still fits in it comfortably, even with her winter coat on.
