Why Dose My 2 Year Old Drink So Much

my 2 year old does the same. And he does not have diabetes. I drink A TON!!!!!!!!!! Probably twice as much as the average person.

Both of my children had extreme thirst before they were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. My daughter was diagnosed at age 19 months.
Make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible!

At least one dangerous illness, Type 1 Diabetes, is sometimes first noticed when a child becomes extremely thirsty. Please take your daughter to the doctor.

Uh-Oh, I was just going to respond with exactly what Peg said below. This amount of fluid intake is a common sign with the onset of Diabetes. Please get your toddler checked. Then come back and tell us what's up...

I'm wondering, what is she drinking? If she's drinking soda and juice, then she still might be thirsty because she's not getting enough water.

Take her to the doctor to check for diabetes.

I did not read any other answers. My 8yo is a drinker! He always has been. Even at 1yo he would say" Juice Mama juice Mama" all day long until I got him something to drink...He guzzles it's crazy but he is just that way, could be yours is like that. Ask your pediatrician if it's normal.

Have you asked your doctor about it? I would be worried too. Go with your momma instinct on this and take her to the doctor.
