I used www.sparkpeople.com to track everything I put in my mouth, it is a free site. I had NO idea what a portion of most food actually looked like...I bought a kitchen scale.

I went to the gym 4 to 5 days a week, doing two classes back to back, cardio then either pilates or yoga. Two hours, 4 to 5 days a week.

I went hardcore and dropped 30 pounds (what I needed to loose) in about 6 months. Now to maintain, I watch what I eat but not as hardcore...and only hit the gym maybe 2 days a week.

Goodluck and a great big HUG!! You can do it, one day at a time. One bad food choice is just one...make a better one next time.

Hi, congrats on baby #2! I would highly suggest this personal trainer...she will come to your house to work you out so you don't have to leave the kids. She has ostnstal workouts that will drop the weight super fast! She got me not only less than my pre-baby weight but in great shape! It's hard, but fun and worth it! Her name is Jessica @ ###-###-#### or ____@____.com. Totally worth it!

I would also suggest "wearing" your baby in a wrap (my fav- Baby Hawk)..its great for your baby and always adds extra weight on you when walking or doing any activity..and it's comfy!

Lastly, Breastfeeding sheds the pounds (and is excellent for baby), try to get out to at least walk 30 min a day, eat healthy and drink lots of water!

Good luck!!

Good luck!

Congratulations on getting the double jogger! You're off to a great start!

I'm a personal trainer in the Tomball area. If you can take your walks prior to eating (can't be long after you wake up) then you'll burn more calories from fat. Make sure you stick with lean meats, low fat dairy (in moderation), a variety of color of veggies, whole grains and make sure you're getting your fiber. Drink at least 64 oz of water/day and avoid processed sugars and hydrogenated oils. You don't have to totally avoid things you love like cookies and whatnot, but have them as a treat every once in a while and when you do have them, make them smarter. For instance, when baking, replace oils with unsweetened applesauce or use only egg whites instead of whole eggs.

NEVER eat under 1200 calories a day (unless your doc tells you to). Do not try to lose more than 2 lbs/week as 2 lbs is the safest way to lose weight that will actually stay off. Don't focus on your weight alone. Focus on your energy levels, inches lost, fat lost, clothing size...

Most importantly, be consistent! You must stick with a consistent routine for at least 3 weeks before you can call it a habit.

Check out our website for more tips, exercises, recipes. Best of luck!

First of all, youre on the right track by having that mindset. Thats the most important thing-keep up with the positive goals and visualization. Before I went in the Army these are some things I did...I went to borders/barnes and noble and looked at fitness books and Dvds to get myself excited. Go look at the library for some kind of excercise books tht look fun or interesting to you. It gets you excited and its so much easier to do something that you like rather than something yuo HAVE to do. Go pick out an outfit that is your goal or put up a picture of yourself in the past or someone that has your goal body type and use that as inspiration, and when you get there you get to where your special outfit.

Im about to have my baby here any day now and just bought the belly bandit-its like a body shaper type thing that helps your stomach shrink back right away. They have ones at Target too for cheaper. I hear they work great.

If you set aside 30-60 minutes three days a week to do anything physicl-and make it part of your set schedule-you have to lose weight. Even if it is 45 minutes of a little physical fun activity with your daughter, youre still buring calories. The key is persistance. Replace all your fluids with water, water, water. The pounds will come off.

Start googling online "after baby fitness" and things like that. google "healthy snacks". They say every 3,500 calories is 1 lb. so...start looking at the calories in the foods you eat most and you might change your mind.

I dont want to be the FAT mom either!! I know its hard and overwhelming, but youre already on the right track, and once you see a little bit of change, youll feel better and get addicted! Im proud of you and I thinkyou can do it. Dont get discouraged if you dont like lots of weight right away..it will happen.
If you ever need any support or help to stay on track,or fitness tips..Im all full of knowledge! Ill pray for you. Good luck!

Hi A.,

Congrats on your sweet family! I just lost 27 pounds and I have a friend who lost 50 on a nutritional program. Actually, the weight loss is a side effect of getting healthier...and who doesn't want that? I feel great. I'm not sure if I can tell you about it in this forum, but I'm happy to share if you email me at ____@____.com double jogger is a super idea...walking is so good for you and you now have a way to do it as your kids enjoy nature and fresh air. So stick with that, for sure, really, as a lifestyle your whole life!

You can do this~ and be the skinny mom :)

My mom lost about 70 lbs. She started Weight Watchers and then she started Curves for Woman at the same time. It took her about 6 or 7 months to lose the weight, but at the ned, she knew how to eat better and she was getting exercise. Curves will only allow to to work out for thirty minutes and then you can only go two or three times a week. They give you a total body workout in those thirty minutes.
Best of luck with the weight loss!

Good for you! You will be a better mom and wife because of this decision. Start by upping your time and pace while walking. Purchase some 5,7, and 10 lb weights and start doing some light weight lifting 2 days a week. Portion control is the best advice I can give on eating. I refuse to diet...don't want my girls to have a bad body image b/c of me.

Hi I had kept baby pounds + a little more. My husband does weight watchers, I count calories and I try to eat as healthy as I can. Cooking at home is much safer, try not to eat out a lot, esp. fast foods!!! I also play volleyball 1-2 a week, take bike rides, stroller walk runs, but my favorite latest love is taking Spin Class at Lifetime Fitness!!! It has motivated me and toned me up fast! A lot of people say "I won't like that, or be good at that" But it isn't hard, you make it your own ride at your own pace and resistance levels that your comfortable with, until you get use to it and get more advanced! And those all ages & shapes that take these classes. My husband & I love it!!! We go 2-4 times a week :) Well good luck & try it out.

If you are breastfeeding, the pounds will really start to drop off after about six months. I nursed my daughter for two years and my boy is 17 months now and I'm still nursing. I'm having trouble keeping weight on.
