What Is an Appropriate Gift to Give Friends for 25Th Anniversary Party?

I like the idea of giving an "experience" rather than a gift. When my brother got married earlier this year, I got him and his new wife a "foodies on foot tour". What about day trips to a local vineyard, a pass to a local museum or orchestra group, anything that allows them to spend time together. I am not a big fan of gift certificates just to go out to eat, though, unless it is the place where they met or has some other special meaning.

Sometimes I check out TripAdvisor and look at the top 10 things to do for the town that the person or couple that I am buying for lives in for ideas.

A nice bottle of wine and chees/crackers or chocolates would be a nice gift IMO.

oh for my 25th i would love it if someone arranged flights and childcare so me and the hubbs could go to vagas for 3 days.. a short vacation without the kids
a overnight trip to a big city would be fun or just a couples spa day ending in dinner out

Keeping with the idea of "silver" how about an All Clad tea kettle?

Do they have young kids? If so, a coupon for an evening of babysitting so that they can go out! If you feel you must bring something to hand to them, you can put it in a small envelope and tie it to the top of a bottle of wine.

Maybe a 1992 vintage bottle of wine? (Year they got married.) Might be more expensive than you were thinking of, I am not sure what price range you want.
