Wanted: Great Cardio Workout DVD

I am looking for a really intense cardio workout DVD. I can find a lot of tone-your-whatever-type of workout DVD's, but not so much cardio. I have been walking/running on the treadmill, but need to mix it up more. In the spring, I love to rollerblade, run outside and bike, but I'm really stuck for right now. I have a Billy Blanks fat burn accelerator, but it doesn't get me going like I want. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I would def invest in a Wii and get the Biggest Loser workout. At first I thought my friends were nuts but it works you out.

We just got the P90X, 90 day DVD program... Everyone I know LOVES this and I've watched the infomercial 3 times and I can't wait to start it. Unfortunately, we are all sick right now:(
It's all about muscle confusion and incorporates all different types of workouts. Yoga, cardio, core, etc...
A little pricey, but everyone says it's totally worth it because you will get results like no other program, and you don't need any special equipment. Just a yoga mat, resistance bands and they recommend a pull up bar, which luckily, we already had these...
Good Luck!

How about the New York City Ballet workout? I haven't used it, but I've heard it's hard. And I can, from my own personal experience, recommend the power yoga workout CD Putting Postures to Your Prayers by Baron Baptiste. Despite the title it doesn't go into the philosophy/spiritual stuff. When I was running marathons I would do this workout as a change of pace and it was still a challenge. This is NOT soft and gentle yoga; it will make you sweat. It's probably not the absolute cardio burn you want but it's very intense, it does get your heart rate up there, and it would probably work well in your overall indoor workout plan.

My husband has used the P90X program and it worked. It will kick your butt! But I've also heard many moms rave about Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser) dvd's and say thay were dripping sweat and sore for days....and I think they're pretty cheap. A friend of mine said she picked one up for $10. P90X is more like $100-150 if I remember correctly.

Jillian Michaels has a DVD called the 30 Day Shred. It has everything, and the workouts are 20 minutes. She does a couple minutes of cardio, couple minutes of strength, then a minute of abs, or something like that. It kicks my butt, but feels good ( and sore) afterward. She says it is as good as hours at the gym, and I believe it. I've seen it in stores for $10.

Have you looked into the Biggest Loser cardio and/or Bootcamp workouts. I've heard from clients that "they're GREAT!"

My current favorite workout is Bikini Ready Fast. It's only 1/2 hour long, but it kicks my butt every time. I usually get bored easily, but on this workout they switch it up a lot so you keep your heart rate up consistently the whole time. It also works all the muscles in your body, so you're not concentrating on a particular area. [www.self.com/magazine/merchandise/dvds/bikini-ready-fast]

I've also been a big fan of the Belly Twins. I've been doing a few of their DVDs for about 5 years and I've never gotten bored with them. I'd recommend any of the Fitness for Beginners to start with. My favorite is "Arms, Abs, Hips, Buns & Thighs" which has 2 short workouts that work your entire body. [www.bellytwins.com/sh_dvd.htm]

Have fun & don't get discouraged!

Do you have a Jazzercise facility near you? It is an excellent one hour cardio workout and a lot of facilities offer babysitting. You could check online at http://jazzercise.com to find a location near you. I have been going for a year now and have lost 30 pounds and maintained my weight as well. I love it! Just an idea instead of a DVD!

Camen Electra has some great DVDs that really work for me to get my heartrate up & pumping. She has the strip-tease set, but there's some of the disks on there that aren't so much risque as they are to get you fit & toned.
