Two Requests -- Curtains for Toddler Rooms and the Wiggles Play Area in Frisco

First Question -- We just moved our toddler to a bigger room in the house but don't plan on spending a lot of money decorating since we are planning to sell our home. I would like to buy some curtains for her room in pink gingham check or maybe green check (or something else that suits my fancy). I don't want to spend a lot of money since we'll be moving in the next year or so. I really like a couple of things at Pottery Barn Kids and Pennys but would like other suggestions. Does anyone have some curtains to sell or suggestions of where to look?

Second request is the Wiggles play area in Frisco. Has anyone been there and is it fun and worth it? I've only seen it online and haven't been over there. Just wondering what ya'll's opinion was on it.

You all feel like family now I've been on this list for so long!

What can I do next?

I guess I'll be the long dissenter on the Wiggles place. We went after Christmas, and it was just fair. I expected it to be a really huge place, but it was kind of like an overgrown McDonald's play land. They had a very large bounce house, a climbing structure like you see at the playlands and Chuck E Cheese, and the toddler area. That was really all. We drove from Colleyville to go, and it was something to do on a day we really had nothing else going on, but I wouldn't make that drive for it for the most part. If we lived in Frisco, we might go again, but as it is, I wouldn't waste the time to go. It just wasn't nearly as big as I expected.

It is nice that it's $7 for the child, and that parents are free. If we had had to pay for parents, it really would have been overpriced.

I will say they had good security in place. Each child had a band on their wrist, and the parent had a receipt with a barcode. THe band and receipt had to match for you to leave.

We got some neat curtains at Lowes, and they where pretty reasonable. They have a good selection and it really adds character to the room.

A friend of mine went to the Wiggly Play Center last weekend and said her kids had a blast (they are ages 3 and 5). We're planning to go on Saturday morning, and I feel confident it won't be a waste of our time or money based on her review (she said she'd do it again, maybe even have the kids' birthdays there). She said one neat thing was a play area specifically for children under 18 months.
Thanks for asking though, I'd love to hear what anyone else thinks of it!

We had a playdate at Wiggles Playland; it was fun. Lots to keep them climbing and busy. The food is good too; nothing is fried...all baked. I would go early....it was getting pretty crowded as we were getting ready to leave.

They also have a toddler area which was nice for the younger group.

As for curtains, I found my daughters at Lowe's in the clearance section in the curtain aisle...each panel was like $7--they are thick quality too. The price was cheaper at the register than on the sticker---FYI.

Hi! We've gone to the Wiggly Play Center with friends several times, and my son LOVES it! He'll be 3 in April. It has things to do for kids of all ages, plus a little restaurant and kid-friendly bathrooms. Just plan on having a hard time leaving, because I know my kiddo never wants to! ;)

We just went to the Wiggles playcenter for the first time last weekend for a birthday party. We have a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. They both enjoyed it. We did not have to pay b/c it was for a party but we definitely would go back on our own. It was smaller than I was expecting and at first was disappointed. But when your kids are running around the place and no matter where I was I knew where each child, I was thankful for the size. I definitely recommend parents to wear socks so you can enjoy the place with your child, its alot of fun. We've already reserved our 2 yr olds b-day party there in April.

For the curtains, check out eBay. I got beautiful Pottery Barn curtains for my daughter's room without paying that inflated price. I did a search for pottery barn gingham curtains and there are plenty there http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2...=

As for the Wiggles Play Center, my daughter loves it (she's almost 4). I also have a 13 month old who enjoys the 18-month and under area. The people are nice, the security is great and the food is good. It may not be huge, but if your kid is a Wiggles fan, she'll love it.

I agree w/the mom who said that the Wiggles play center was surprisingly small. However, I quickly realized that with a 3-yr-old (who was playing on all the equipment pretty much w/o my supervision) and a 9-mo-old (who needed constant supervision in the toddler area), it was nice not to have to worry about where she was and whether she was hurt or anything. Since the place was small, I was able to go check on her often and find her quickly and see that everything was alright.

I felt that the entry fee was low enough that I didn't feel duped due to the size of the place (the baby was free since he hadn't reached age one at the time). Then again, I live in Frisco, so I didn't have to spend a ton of $ on gas to get out there! =)

Hi D.,

I have a two year old and we have been to the Wiggly Play center twice now. He loves it!!!! We have only gone during the week so I cannot tell you how busy weekend crowds are. If you decide to go, wear something comfy so you can play too. The entire place is adult friendly and my son loves it when Daddy and I are going down the slides with him. It is great exercise for all of us. You'll see most moms just sitting at the tables talking with friends and not "getting down and dirty" which is fine I guess, but I would much rather be having fun too. Even at 7 months pregnant I can climb and slide!!! We find that the little ones whose moms and dads aren't playing will just fall in love with you when you play too, you'll make lots of new best friends, it is really sweet!!!

Totally worth it!!! Have fun!!!
