Hi moms!

We're spending 4th of July weekend (3-5) in Wisconsin Dells. I'm getting free tickets to either the Tommy Bartletts Exploratory or the Tommy Bartletts Show. Our kids are 2 and 4 years old. Do you recommend one more than the other? We're also getting tickets to the Riverview Waterworld. Sounds to me like a lot of exciting stuff to see and do in 3 days!! I want to be able to enjoy the hotel pools too (Copa Cabana Resort). I'm sure it will be a lot of fun!

Has anyone done all these activities with toddlers? Any recommendations on what to do when? We'll be there on Friday morning through Sunday afternoon.

Thanks and Happy 4th!

My kids have never been to the show, but the exploratory seems too old for the 4 year old, not to say the 2 year old. My youngest was 5 or 6 when we went and the only reason he wasn't bored is because he was following his older sister everywhere.

Sorry to say but your kids are probably a little young for Bartlett. Their attention span with so many people may be a little too much for them. You and hubby will love it and the kids will certainly love the hotel pool and whatever else they offer. Even "in room" movies do have a blast. Bring coloring bookds and crayons, their favorite CD, etc.

We did the same trip with a NB, 2 & 4 y.o. I thought the Copa Cabana Resort was great for this age especially the inside waterpark.

The weekend we went was the weekend the lake drained. We had gone with another family and my friend wanted to still see water show (there was no water) and try and help out by maintaining patronage. So, keep this in mind regarding my comment about the show.

There were two acts that I think are still in the show. Both involved stunts with acrobats that were dangerous. THe acrobast walked inside & outside a spinning wheel that rotated so it was very high off the ground. I didn't care for entertainment that relies on the danger of the sport to thrill the audience especially for young children. Walking back to the show is neat. The seating is steep and you could end up in a lot of sun. We did not see the watershow but I have heard it is very good.

THe hotel has a crosswalk over the busy street to get to the Tommy Bartlett entertainment. There is a nice playground there for the kids. It's a nice spot for a quick picnic lunch.

We stayed in the back properties of the Copa Cabana. They had porches off the backside and an inside entrance. Although we had to walk to get to the pool, I liked this layout for our family better.

This was our first time to Dells. There is a lot more to see if you drive into the town or even just walk up the road.

Hope this helps and you all have a great time.

If your children like animals, the Deer Park is fun. Also, Storybook Gardens has always been a hit. Have fun!
