Hi there moms!! One year ago I bought a Magnavox t.v./vcr/dvd combo to indulgently watch tv and movies in my room with my kids while recovering from my chemo treatments, well..... my treatments are fewer and farther and my tv is also deciding it is done!!! I bought this tv at Walmart and dont have the receipt any longer, truely believing I would never need it for a reputable product such as Magnavox. I can not afford to buy another one so I would like to get this one fixed and it is very heavy so I need to know where to take it before I start lugging it around town. My kids and I greatly miss our time altogether in mommys bed watching movies and Food Network!! Any ideas for a person in McKinney or close surrounding area would be great!!!
Did you use a credit or debit card to pay for the TV? You might be able to use the credit card statement as a receipt. Also - try calling the Wal-Mart where you bought it and explaining the situation - they may exchange it regardless of whether you have a receipt because their products SHOULD last longer than a year!
You might call Goodman TV in Addison. I know they are not close to McKinney, but I know they have service techs that will come to your home possible. It's worth the call at least.

I would definitely call wal-mart and ask for a manager- explain your entire situation....the other day I was at wal-mart and someone was returning a vacuum cleaner- out of the box- no receipt- it looked as though they tried to vacuum the horse stables with it and they exchanged it for a new one! I about fell over! This was the wal-mart on lake forest- just so you know!
