Swim Lessons in Oak Park

I'm looking for swim lessons for my daughter who is 19 months old in the Oak park area. I wasn't really impressed with the YMCA and Concordia started last month. Are there any other classes around here? I wanted to do this this fall/winter because we are having another baby in Jan/Feb of 2008 and won't be able to bring a new infant to the pool.

What can I do next?

Thanks everyone. I think we're going to end up back at the Y which is walking distance and the times fit into our schedule good. Thanks for your advice.

wish I knew, I wasn't into the YMCA either, I had taken my son to the one in another location and it was great, but the O.P. teacher wasn't impressive.

It may be a little far for you, but Oakbrook Park District has indoor lessons for infants/ toddlers that start the first week of November and go through the middle of December. They have a pool with a fairly large "zero depth" area, which my 21 month old is really comfortable in. They have a Saturday class that is 1/2 hour long or a Mon or Wed class that is 1/2 hour long followed by an hour of free play time. I just signed my son up for lessons so I'm not sure how good the instructors are. You can get more info and even sign up through the Oakbrook Park District website.

I haven't tried to get indoor swim lessons during the winter months at any of these places, but I would try Fenwick High School in Oak Park (my son had lessons there one summer - very good instructors), Gottleib Medical Center in Melrose Park (I know they have indoor pools and lap swimming, don't know about lessons). There's also some club with an indoor pool and public lessons that people keep telling me about. Oak Park Country Club? Community Club? Tennis Center? I can't remember, but it's been mentioned to me several times now so they must have lessons ;-)

Oakbrook Park District also has an indoor/outdoor community pool.
