O.O.
Yeah. Once in a blue moon, the planets align, huh?
Mamas & Papas-
Thanks to my lovely husband and son, I got to sleep in till 11:30 on Sunday. Hooray.
We had planned all along for hubs to have morning duty with DS on Sunday, but I had expected DS to get up at around 7, and for them to get cabin fever and start making some racket before they left (each reminding the other in too loud a whisper to be quiet because mommy is sleeping) by around 9.
I had tentative plans to brunch with my brother while the boys were out. Seems my brother texted at 8:50 - brunch? 9:30- brunch now? 10:00- famished, eating brunch (you are welcome to coffee later sleeping beauty).
Ever have something go unexpectedly your way, but find yourself hoodwinked nonetheless?
Best,
F. B.
PS- the lie in was phenomenal.

When I think I'm going to sleep in because I don't have to be anywhere or do anything, I wake up early and am ready to go, even if everyone else is still in bed.
When I actually make plans for the morning and have to be up and out, then I'm dragging and sleepy. It's maddening.
I'm a night owl. 11:30 on the weekends, or any day the kids don't have school or an appointment/activity, is not unusual for me. I often stay up until 2am.
I haven't had a decent nights rest in almost 7 years. The latest I've slept is 7.
If it isn't the kids, hubby wakes me when he comes to bed late.
I'll sleep in my next life I guess....
I can't sleep in that late anymore.
My bladder tells me when to get up and it's at the same time every morning whether I set the alarm or not (5am ish).
If I sleep in late it usually means I'm pretty sick.
If I stayed in bed until 11:30 I would be in a foul mood for the rest of the day. Do you know how much I can accomplish between 8am and noon? I would feel like I wasted half my day, even if I did need the extra sleep!
Oh B., if only I could get the dogs to NOT BARK @ 5:30 in the morning, & respect Sunday's!!
Whatever the reason for chaos in your household, we all appreciate the opportunity to relish time in bed to ourselves, glad you got to enjoy yours.
Next time, set your brother up with a bowl of cereal & let him know that brunch doesn't start until after the late mass @ the Catholic church! haha T. =-)
