Stroller Reccomendations

Hey everyone. I have a little girl who will be one at the end of the month. She has always loved her stroller until about 3 weeks ago. She goes crazy in it! I think that she is upset because she can't see me. She screams and wiggles until she can get on her knees and turn around and face me. It was cute at first, but now that she is screaming along with it I can't help but notice the stares from others. So does anyone know of a stroller that faces the child toward you? I am sure there is nothing like it but thought that I would ask. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I bought a used peg perego before my first child was born. The handle switches front to back. My daughter is 18 months and wants to walk most of the time....this is somewhat inconvenient and time consuming!

I just want to say ditto on the Ergo Baby Carrier(they have a website). I love love love mine. I have two children and I am able to for go using my double stroller by putting one child in the baby carrier and use my single Peg Perego stroller. The double stroller I mainly just use now for walks. Another good thing about the Ergo is the weight limit. It doesn't hurt your back at all. I too have the Baby Bjorn and it killed my back. I never had back problems until had it.

Somebody already said this, but I can tell you I also highly recommend the Bugaboo Frog. In fact, I'm not even sure if you can still get the Frog (I think they discontinued it), but the Bugaboo Gecko or Chameleon will do the trick too. You can switch the seat position from facing front to facing toward you. It is pricey, but it is incredibly worth the money and you will not regret spending it! I have a 22 month old, and a 3 1/2 year old who rides on the back of our Bugaboo on a wheeled-board attachment that they make. They both love it...

We love our Bugaboo Frog! They're pricey compared to some other brands, but ours has been worth every penny because of the features offered (including facing your child either way.) We also love our Ergo carrier, which lets you wear your little one one your front, or back. It's really comfortable unlike the other carriers we tried (our Baby Bjorn (w/ the lumbar support!) is collecting dust.) My one year old gets tired of his stroller sometimes too, and just wants to be closer to us. We always keep the Ergo tucked into the stroller basket in case we need it. Best of luck to you!

Sounds like she's getting bored with the stroller. You could purchase one of those child carrying harnasses. There's many out there...ones for the hip, back and front.

Hey, I am not sure what type of stroller it was but I had one about 10 years ago. The handle moved back and forth so that the baby could either face you or away from you. I think maybe it was a graco but Im not sure. Sorry i could not be more help but atleast you know they are made.

There are a bunch of reversible stroller options. Ranging from 200 ish up to 1,000. The bugaboos are great for that feature (the frog and cameleon, the gecko has been discontinued in the US) but are on that higher end of the price range. On the lower price end are the Kolcraft contours, fisher price infant-toddler, maxi cosi foray.

Hi A.,

My oldest of 4 is 9 now, but I had a Peg Perego brand stroller that had a reversable handle, so you could push it with the child facing you or with the child facing outwards. Loved it. Can't remember which model it was. Note, this one was not a convertible car-seat-to-stroller, but perhaps they make that now too if you need it. Then again, your child is almost one, so probably outgrown the convertible models anyway. I seem to remember they were expensive -see if you can find one second hand.

Good luck!
