I am a mother who's concerned for my children. I have an 8th grader and a 5th grader that struggles in Math. We need help! Do you have any High Schoolers that's not too expensive that may be willing to help.

What can I do next?

Well not sure about any High School tutors that are enexpensive but Sylvan works!! I know it's major expensive but I take my 2nd grader there and it has helped him tremendously. I live in Spring too, where do you live and what school do your kids go to?

Dear Sandra,
Have you heard of the program "No Child Left Behind". It is a program through the school. All schools have to offer tutors, special classes, ect.. Please check into it. If your child needs the help his\her school MUST provide the help.

I have a 20 year old son that was really good at math. He would be interested. He's looking for temporary jobs at this time because he is trying out for the Shell Houston Open and wants to pursue a golf career.

Sandra, the church which we belong to in Spring (NorthWest Bible Church) has a once a week tutoring ministry called S.T.A.R. I inquired of the director today and he said that both members and non-members have been participating on a regular basis. Math is considered their strong point and while they started with an emphasis on 5th through 8th grade, they have been seeing children from 4th grade through 12th grade. They meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. You may call the church for more information ###-###-####)or check out the website (www.nwbc.org).

I hope this information is beneficial to you and your children.
