I am looking for either swimming lessons or tumbling lessons (or both) for my son who is almost 20 months old. There are no winter classes at my park district (no indoor pool). Does anyone know of possibly a private club or another suggestions for indoor pools with lessons in the W. Dundee and local vacinity?
I have heard good things about the swimming lessons offered at Lifetime Fitness in Algonquin.
Dolphin Club in Crystal Lake has swimming lessons.
Prairie stone health and wellness center has swimming lessons for babies. It is located on 72 in between Barrington road and 25. Not too far from W. Dundee. It's a private health club, but I think you can register for swim classes even if you aren't a member. My daughter loved the pool there because they have a waterfall like thing and fountains.

The YMCA would most likely have classes. I'm just not sure what the closest one to you is. I'm thinking Schaumburg, and there is one in Crystal lake, a few blocks off of Rt. 31, just south of Rt. 14. You would have to get him a limited membership in order to sign him up for classes.
Not sure on tumbling. We are signed up at Cary Gymnastics for the first time.
Prairie stone, does work with Hoffman park district, but I don't know if they have special rates, compared to just going straight to prairie stone.
You might also check if a local hospital has a recreation/gym facility.
