Hi im a new mom again, my son is almost 4 months old and I am going crazy not getting out of the house. I will be honest I dont have alot of friends my age, most of them are aquaintances because they are my significant others friends wives. I lost my dearest friend 5yrs ago, and I havn't really put myself out there in the friend searching arena. I am just wondering if there are any moms like me that would like to get together for coffee or lunch a couple times a month, just to build a friendship and have a shoulder to lean on.

What can I do next?

Hi T.~
I feel for you. I'm a stay at home mother of 2 and one on the way. I love my kids, but the drive me crazy!!! I need to get out of the house from time to time. The problem is that I don't know a lot of people here and I don't have my family here. Just the in-laws ....;) I would love to get together. I live in the Sandy area. We should get a group of us moms to a park or something. I'm always up for a good email also. I work as a crossing guard for extra money, so that gives me time restrictions. I think between that and naptime, there's my problem!!

Hi T., I live in Utah County so I'm not too close to you. But I found a great way to meet other moms is to be the one to instigate gatherings. Just start asking moms in your neighborhood to go to the park with you or to any other activity you're planning. I found that most moms felt the same way I did but were too shy or uncomfortable to invite other moms. Pretty soon you'll be able to go to mommy and me classes and that is a great way to meet moms. Good luck finding friends! You sound supper nice.

It's compeletly free, lots of fun, and has moms from every background imaginable. Check out www.saltlakecitymommies.com and come see what we are all about!
