I am looking for other activities for my toddler/preschooler to do this Fall. He's very active and socialable which is a good thing right now. Can anyone give me any recommendations of activities in the dallas metroplex to get our child involved in?

What part of town are you in? Garland Parks and Rec Department offers some GREAT inexpensive classes. I live Dallas, by White Rock LAke but I still use them! You can check them out on line. For more $$ there is always Metroplex Gym they have a pre-school curriculum. The Arboretum usually has Mommy and Me Mondays in the fall where they have all sorts of preschool type activities. Um, the Farmers Market can be a lot of fun. DUring the week it is not very crowded and the kids can try all sorts of fruits and veggies. Take the Dart rail to the zoo- the Dallas zoo has a wonderful kids area. Fair PArk has a ton of stuff: Butterfly Garden, Natural History Museum, The Science PLace (which has the entire bottom floor set up for preschools hands on activities), The Railroad museum.

I would recommend Kindermusic and Little Gym. Both have wonderful, interactive classes that you participate in with your child. They're great for developing social skills as well as motor skills, and they are a fun, bonding experience for mom and child. Just do a web search to find classes near you.

Check out the childrens museum at valley view mall....also look at other places like air and flight museum aquarium they may offer outings or classes (i know that the childrens museum does.) that your 3 yr old may enjoy...
Any city rec center classes! They offer art, music, gym, etc. and are based around your child's age. Plus they are not long term & prices are very cheap compared to (My Gym, etc.).
I ADORE the Music Together Programs in this area. Dana Parkoff is the owner/director and has classes in Dallas, Richardson, Plano and I think even Frisco.
They are so much fun. I liked them better than Kindermusic. Dana is Jewish, so some of the classes incorporate that (they're called Jewish Twist) but the regular classes don't incorporate any religion. They're just fun. The kids get to experiment with instruments and singing. You get a CD and book to listen to between classes. It's great for language development and music development as the songs and sounds are broken down in the learning blocks. I can't say enough about how awesome it is!
