Seeking Dr's with Kaiser in Roseville

Kaiser Permanente for insurance and I need a pediatrician. Roseville is building a new mother/children hospital at this site and I'm hopeful that means more ped.drs will service this area.
Do you see a peds dr. through Kaiser? Even at Morse I'd love a recommendation or "stay away" for pediatricians, or maybe a family practice dr.
Oh, need to add I would love to know who might have used for a Midwife and internal medicine any mommies see.

What can I do next?

My kids also see Dr. Bowman in Lincoln. The Lincoln office is much less crowded than the Roseville Kaisers we used to use. Before they built the Kaiser here in Lincoln my son had a pedicatrician at the Sierra Gardens location off Douglas. I'm drawing a blank on the Dr's last name but his first name is Kenneth and his wife is Ursula. They are both pediatricians.

We love Dr. Rodney Barron. He's great with the kids and very responsive. He's great at responding to e-mails (was an advocate for starting up physician/patient e-mails at Kaiser) and one time when our daughter developed a strange rash hours before we were leaving on vacation, he fit us in for an appt. in between his existing appts. Kaiser pediatrics is open on Saturdays and Sundays, too, which has been fantastic (doctors rotate serving those days).

Didn't use a midwife with my deliveries, so can't help you there, but Kaiser is pretty open to patients selecting that option. Haven't had to see my internal medicine doctor yet (knock on wood), so can't help there either. I do recommend checking out the websites for Kaiser's doctors on the main Kaiser page (each doctor has a personal page) ... can be quite helpful in selecting doctors who are a good fit to your preferences.

Good luck! I'm a huge fan of Kaiser and think you'll like the change.

M.

Dr. Nancy Torres was my son's ped from birth til we switched insurance, and she is one of the few peds I liked there. She is not the kind of ped who gives you opinions on childraising issues, she sticks to medical care. The babies love her gentle ways.

Kaiser works very differently than small, independent physicians, but we've been very happy there. If Lincoln isn't too far from you, I recommend checking it out because it's less crowded since its a new facility. We've seen a number of pediatricians and liked them all, esp. Dr. Gertsenberger. One of the established midwives is Judith Nichols--I thought she was great.

If you don't mind driving up 65 to Lincoln, I love it. My son's see Dr Bowman. With all of my trips to the Dr for ear infections for my little ones, we have seen almost every Dr in the Lincoln office and I was happy with all of them!

When my son was born his ped was Dr. Benjamin (he spells it different) HE was a great doctor. We had to stop seeing him when I decided I wasn't going back to work and lost our Kaiser coverage.
His office is in Roseville off of Sierra Meadows?? Over by the post office facility there.
