Hi there,
My husband and I came to the tough decision that I will not be returning to work, so now we are faced with the challenge of changing our insurance from a PPO to Kaiser. I am looking for a good understanding pediatrician who can handle an anxious new mom. I am also looking for a good primary care Dr. for myself and my husband. I have been working through post partum depression and so it is very hard for me to have to change Dr.'s right now, I am so comfortable with the path I am on with my current Dr.'s, but I know we will be able to find someone great at Kaiser too. So ladies please help me! We live in North Natomas, but I prefer to go to the Kaiser in either Davis or Roseville. Thank you so much for your help!

The pediatricians in Davis are awesome. I am a very anxious new mom and Dr. Keremitsis, Dr. Rhodes, and Dr. Baker are all sooooo great. Good luck!

My daughter's pediatrician is Michelle Ernst located at the Kaiser Roseville on Sierra Gardens. She is very helpful and responsive to questions I've had. Good luck.

Hi J.. Dr. Emily Earl is at Kaiser Roseville. She is wonderful! She was one of my kids' pediatricians before she moved over to Kaiser. I miss her.

The Kaiser Womens and Children's Center in Roseville will be open in January 2009. It is going to be a great Children's hospital. I am in the opposite situation (went from Kaiser to Sutter). I wish i had the Roseville Kaiser available to me.

Hi--I am in the opposite situation than you. We just had to leave Kaiser to join Sutter, I have been a member for over 30 years. We used Dr. Ken Hempstead in the Roseville office, he is awesome. I consider myself a worrier, and he is relaxed, and I felt very confident with him, and I miss him. His wife also works in the office I believe her name is Ursula.

Hi J.-
Dr. Otani in Davis is a fabulous pediatrician. She is great with my boys. She explains things in such a calm way. She truly cares about her patients and doesn't rush through an appointment. She's also very prompt in returning calls and emails. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I just signed my boys up with Dr. Elton Huey who is at the Sierra Gardens Kaiser in Roseville. When I saw in his profile that he does rounds at the NICU at Morse Avenue I thought "He's got to be a warm doctor." Indeed he is- very helpful and informative and put both of my boys at ease. I would recommend him all day long. He was also raised in the Sacramento area.

Hi J.- I know you are looking for a Dr. in the Roseville/Davis area, but if you change your mind, Kaiser Point West (off of 80 and Alta Arden) in North Sacramento is great. My pediatrician, Dr. Rebecca Cunnigham is great, she is an active listener and addresses every concern I have. When I call and leave a message, she calls back prmptly oppossed to her nurse. Also my husband and my primary care Dr. are at the same facility. Just wanted to give you other options.

Hi J.,
Dr. Yvonne Otani at Kaiser Davis is a wonderful and caring pediatrician. Both my daughter and son see her. I highly recommend her as well as Pam Monroe, NP and Dr. Tia Will at OB/GYN. Kaiser system is great. You can ask non-urgent questions by email to your doctors and can always call an advice nurse if you have any immediate concerns not requiring ER visit. Referrals are so much faster and prescription services are wonderful. I'm sure you'll be happy with you and your children's care at Kaiser.

Dear J.,

I and my family are patients at Kaiser Davis. I have some phenominal names to give you. My children are seen by Dr. Keremitsis. She is fantastic and so kind and knowledgeable, and if something comes up that she does not know, she immediatly does research. My twins have a little known genetic anomally, and she jumped right in and got info even before they were born so that she would be up to speed. Everywhere we go within Kaiser, if anyone asks about something that they are concerned about regarding my children, and they ask "Who's your pediatrician?" the minute I say Dr. Keremitsis, they immediatly break into smiles and say, Oh, no worries, you're in great hands, I know her....... and each person shares a different story with us. I think she is famous.
My OBGYN is Dr. Hernried. I am an older mom, and she has been great, and soooooo supportive. Her nurse practitioner that she works with is Patricia Morris(I think) and they are a wonderful compliment to each other. My last pregnancy was at the age of 43, with twins, and I could not have been better taken care of.
My GP is Dr. Dailey. I have seen her the least, but each visit has been great. All of the doctors communicate well with each other, so even though I was seeing my OBGYN more, she kept my GP up to date. Then when I went to see Dr. Dailey months later, for something completely unrelated, she remembered everything else, so she knew right where I was and what I needed.
Then if you need to be seen over the weekend and you call in for an appointment, Davis is closed, but they send you to Point West, in Sac. near Cal Expo. Each doctor takes turns at weekend duty, so most of the time, we have actually seen our own doctor, but if our doctor is not on duty that weekend, then they schedule us to at least see a Davis Doctor, and they talk the following week, and we usually get a followup call from our doctor just checking on us to make sure everything is ok.
I obviously cannot say enough positive things about the care that I have been given over the last 20 plus years at Kaiser. I know transitions are scary, but some do work out for the best. Good Luck,

N. H. or ____@____.com just in case you want to write back.

HI J.,
I have had the most wonderful pediatrician at Kaiser Rsvl. for 5 years now. His name is Jeffery Fisch. He is the father of 5 and his wife is a SAHM who homeschools the kids. He is very supportive, answers all my questions. I have some kids who are sick and he helps me get the services I need. I hope he is taking new patients. Good luck.
