Seeking Childcare / Preschool in Flower Mound / Lewisville Area

My 21 month old is currently at a daycare that is not accredited. My husband and I are looking to move him to a more preschool type environment by his second birthday. We are looking for a program that prepares kids for kindergarten and has before and after school care. Additionally, we are very concerned with the high level of sugar that he gets at his school currently. Are there any schools who try to limit the younger kids sugar intake or is this a daycare problem? I appreciate any input.

Thanks,
R.

Might try Children's Choice. I have two sons that went there and they loved it. They are located at Cowan and Elm next to the hospital. Helthy meals, great security and all their teachers are certified or in college to be teachers. That is what I liked, no 18 year old just out of high school taking care of my children. One of my boy's has special needs and they were able to care for him as well. Good Luck!

R.,

I also recommend The Children's Courtyard. My son has been at the Wellington location for seven years, since he turned four years old. We were happier in the early years, but I am not sure if the change is more due to his enrollment in the after-school program as opposed to the preschool program, or if it is more due to the change in management over the years at my location.

There is also a location on Morriss Road in Flower Mound and a couple of other Lewisville locations, as well, in addition to the one already recommended (although that location is the only one with the Lab School, if that is your preference.)

Good luck!

L.

Try the Children's Courtyard lab school, at Edmonds & 3040 (there are 2 Courtyard schools there, the Lab School is the one that is on the north side, right on Edmonds.) Their curriculum is very educationally-based and we've been very pleased with them. They offer before/after/vacation care for school-age children as well.

RE: the menu - it is very healthy and you can have a copy of the menu to take home and review/keep.
