My son just had a bad rash I thought it was baby ace, but it wasn't. I took him to the doctor where the doctor advise me it was a rash and that I should used dove unscented and Eucerin & 1% hydrocortisone ointment which can be bought over the counter. By the night time his rash was looking a 100% better and with three days it was gone. The 1% hydrocortisone works great.

Small red bumps, itchy, no fever or other symptoms, probably eczema. Lots of kids get it, especially this time of year when the heat is on and we spend the bulk of our time indoors. The dry air dries out their skin.

Lower the temp on her bath a bit, because heat makes it worse. Someone here recommended Eucerin, and that one is pretty good. If that doesn't clear it up, try Aquaphor. I've yet to find a rash that Aquaphor doesn't clear up. Diaper rash, windburn, the rash they get from drooling, that stuff fixes anything. If you try both of those, and it's still no good, see a dermatologist for a cream called Elidel. It is made for Eczema, comes by prescription, is safe for kids, and is one of the few treatments that has no steroids in it.

Good luck!

Jess

My daugher had the same rash if fact still gets it a littleevery witner becuase of the weather .Without seeing I cannot be sure but it sounds like a slight case of eczema. My husband and I started using ucerin on the effected area . Use it as soon as she gets out of the bath and be very generous with it. within two or three days it was all cleared up. Then when we see it strting again we just get the ucerin back out. It comes in a little white tub and you can find it at most local drug stores. hope this helps.

Good Morning! My son had this problem too when he was around 1 1/2 to 2 years old. This is what I did and he now has no problems at all. I use dove soap, but try not to put any or very little on his face. then, I used the Aveeno cream occasionally on his face/neck. I think I was washing and lotioning too much. So I tried this and it has gone away. Your child may just have a sensitivity to soap and such. Try a few different soaps after a while if you don't notice a difference until you find one that helps. Or, talk to a dermetologist see if they have any ideas. Good Luck. If you are anything like I was, I was washing his face too much with too much soap and too often. Have a great day!

my son got a baby type of acne but i soon realized that it was just heat pimples. The ones on his face were from laying on hs tummy while sleeping and the ones on his neck were from over dressing him during winter. Just remember that they only need as many layers as you do. It helped but they come back here and there because of the heat.
