we've had cable, dish, and now have FiOS. we love the super fast internet and all the options of the DVR with FiOS. I think they are tons better. they have a lot of different bundle options - we have tv, wireless internet and phone. We now even have caller ID on our tv - you don't have to get up to see who's calling (the couch potato's dream!)

A previous commenter mentioned the long wait time for customer service. My husband works for FiOS, but is not a rep. He can, however, go through their system as an employee referral and have a FiOS rep call you to set up your service instead of you having to wait on hold for them. He gets little bonus points for it and you don't have to wait on hold forever. We've done this with our friends and it's a win-win. You can email me if you decide to go with FiOS - but no pressure if you decide not to!

I had Grande- they're ok. Have had FIOS for the last few years and I'd say they're just ok, too. Have had some problems with a faulty DVR which had to be returned and not only did I lose all my recorded shows, but went a couple of days with no DVR which I was still charged the whole month for. Customer service is hit and miss-tech support is really nice, but some of the other operators not so much. If you ever have to call them, be prepared to go through lots of automated questions and be on the phone for a while, but I guess that's fairly common these days. I have really enjoyed my DVR though. However, I would switch to ATT Uverse, if they were available in my area. I've heard some awesome things about them. You get more for your money from what I've heard, also. Hope I've helped!!
