Is there a play group for my 4 year old grand daughter in The Colony or just a mom in a similar situation? She is home with me all day and I know she needs more contact with children her own age. Can not afford the pre-schools in this area.

What can I do next?

Check out Greater Lewisville Mothers and More. http://mothersnmore.com/
It's a moms' group with play groups for all ages and fun activities for moms too!

Have you checked the Colony school district to see if they have preschool programs (which are free). I know that Plano ISD has them.

You can try meetup.com and search for playgroups that fit you and your area. Another good place to look is at your local ECPTA (early childhood PTA) and The Colony appears to have one: http://tcecpta.org/

Other things you can do is check out the library story times or other free or low cost activities in the area. A few resources that I use are:

Good luck!

Also look at meetup.com. There are some great groups on there and you can narrow it down somewhat to your preferences.
