Pimple Butt - Yuma,AZ

So my eight and a half month old son has little pimples or small red lumps on his butt. Now it doesn't look like the typical diaper rash, this looks like pimples... they are spread out all over his butt cheeks. For the past two days I've been using the target brand diapers (which my husband did not like )and then this developed. Could it really be the diaper.

What can I do next?

Diaper rash can look like a lot of things. It is certainly worth changing to a brand you know to see if you can clear it up. I know many people experience no problems with store brand diapers, but I couldn't find a single one that fit well and/or didn't almost instantaneously break my daughter out in a rash.

Could be the diaper or a heat rash. My son had a reaction as a baby to a CVS brand diaper. Try to keep his bum dry and diaperless to air out and switch back to your reg brand and see what happens.

It could be the diaper....but it might be a heat rash or impetigo.

If you're using a new diaper and your baby has a rash, it's the diapers.

My son had got the same thing when we were outside a lot during the 4th. It turned out it was a rash with his huggies. I part time cloth diaper (stupid daycare wont do cloth) and he had just grown out of a cover that I had so I had to order new ones and also had to put him in disposables. Since I had the same experience (kind of) I'd suggest switching and letting his bum air out a bit. And if you can handle try cloth diapering. The only time my son has had a rash (other than above) is when he is on antibiotics and has the runs and I don't realize that there is a small amount that leaked out and so it sat on his bum for a bit.

Yes it could definitely be the diaper. Some diapers have baby powder in them which may be irritating to baby's skin. Or just the different material may be bothersome. Ask the Pediatrician if it doesn't clear up on it's own.
