Do you have Christmas stockings with names on them? If you do, where did you get them?
I've always wanted to have our names on our stockings. Now that my husband and I are both 100% sure our family is complete, I'd like to do this.
There was a time in my life (before kids) when I thought I would make them. That's not really going to happen. Any ideas where I could do this?
You can look a lot of places online. Personalizationmall.com has done a number of gifts for my family and I like their quality. We got DD's stocking at a Santa event, but I don't know where Santa got them.

I just bought plain ones and embroidered the names. Even my cat and dog have personalized ones. :)
We bought ours at Pottery Barn. This time of year they usually have free shipping or other discounts on personalized items. There are several styles to choose from. We have the red and green velvet. They are plenty big and look and feel high quality.

Pottery Barn has beautiful ones. They frequently go on sale so check out the website.
Check Etsy. My daughter has bought some really nice things from that site. She likes to get her things monogrammed and she has always had a good experience with Etsy.

Our malls have an embroidery store. If you found the perfect stocking, you could get them embroidered at the mall.

LL Bean has them too. We got them for the kids and they are really nice and good quality.
Got ours at Redenvelope.com and I love them. Great quality! We got the ones with the big intial and name underneath. They have an extra 10% off right now.
We bought ours through Lands End about 10 years ago. They still look lovely hanging from the fireplace.
I think that I got ours at JC Penny years ago. They are embroidered with our names and still look beautiful each year...

You can just use Fabric Paint.
It comes in a little squeeze bottle with a fine tip.
It air dries. And some has a "puffy" texture to it.
Just go to a craft store.
Or, if you are handy with embroidery, then just sew the names on it using a simple stitching.

growing up we all had stocking with our name written in glitter. I've done the same with our family. Now that our kids are 14 & 17 we've had them for a long time and have thought about getting new ones that are less plush and more matching our current decor - but now they're tradition and my kids would never allow it.
If you have neat handwriting there are sooooo many option in a craft store to buy the stockings you like and make your own names.
the people and dogs in our family have pottery barn stockings - love them, and they tend to keep the same designs, so I've been able to add to our collection as we've had more kids and dogs come into the family. order SOON though, anyplace you go now is gonna be overwhelmed this time of year :)
