I would like to get my 2 nephews personalized books for Christmas (books that feature their names throughout the story). I have a flyer that came with some other mail but they don't seem to have many choices. Have any of you gotten these, what what the quality, selection and value like? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I found one a thrift store that was created for someone else...To me, they're beyond cheezy. The story was lame and the use of the child's full name throughout the book, and in some places just the first name, was stilted and didn't flow well. I'm really glad I never bought one for my kids! :) (and I did read it to my DS using his name and he walked away halfway through the story...this is a kid who ALWAYS wants me to read to him)

Save your money and go with something else.

Disney! They have a bunch of versions on their website. We ordered 3 this year! Snow White for my daughter, CARS for my son, and a Fairies one for our niece. They are wonderful and a lot of fun! These stories were not cheesy at all, and I was pleased far beyond my expectations. I would suggest them to anyone! They were $15 a piece, I think.

Don't know about the answers you received but I wanted to tell you that when I was a little girl my aunt Karen got one for my brother and I and we absolutely loved it! Looking at it now, it was slightly cheesy but as kids we didn't notice it.

Not sure how old the nephews are or if this is what you are looking for but... Iseeme (dot) com is the best!!! Top quality- very very good. We have the "My Very Own Name" for both of my kids. They love spelling out their names. Also, we love the "Who Loves Me?" book. You can add in all your relatives on each set of pages- take a look. Very sweet. They have virtual tours of each book. They also have a few others.

I have ordered 2 of the Santa books for my girls when they were I think 2, and they still love them to this day.

The quality and story line was good. Even though they are 10 and 11 years old now, they still remember the personal touches, like friends names they had when I had the books made.

I am not sure which flier you received, but the books I bought are soft cover, and I think 9x11 in size. :)

I am just starting to set up my Christmas things, so when I come across the books, I will post the company name or website (if they had one way back then!) :)

I hope you find the right book for your nephews!

Shutterfly.com and other photo developing websites sell personalized books for kids where they even insert their face into the main character of the books. I haven't bought one, but thought they seem cute.
