Pediatric Neurologist in Chicago

Has anyone been to or know of a good pediatric neurolgist? My mother is insisting I take my 5 year old to see one because of his headaches. Although headaches run in our family and I've had them since I was little, she has a friend that just recently died from a brain tumor, very quickly after being diagnosed. So needless to say she's a little paranoid! She needs some peace of mind and it certainly won't hurt to know that everything is fine. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dr Michael Kohrman at U of C is excellent. My son was a preemie and we saw him for the first 2 years of his life.

He has an excellent bedside manner and he is very thorough. As much as it was a pain to get to U of C every few months, I was a little sad when he discharged us. He was GREAT!

Good luck and I hope that your son's headaches are normal!

I would call up Children's Hospital in Chicago on Lincoln Ave. That is a great hospital.

I suffer from migranes and went to The Diamond Headache Clinic in Lincoln Park. They are wonderful. I saw many children there being treated. Here is a link to their website http://diamondheadache.com . They only deal with headaches and take many different approaches (medical and holistic) Good luck! Hopefully you and your son can get rid of those headaches!
