My daughter will be turning six soon. I am trying to plan a birthday party for her. I really don't want to have it at home. I would prefer to go out and have her friends meet us at the party event. Does anyone have any experiences with any of the places in Delaware? Any ideas for a party?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for your wonderful suggestions. They sure did help! I gave Alisha all the suggestions I received from this message board, another one and also from friends. I figured that it was her party and it would be her choice. Alisha chose to go to Vince's Sport's Center in Newark. We went on Saturday to try the games and she had a grand time! We decided to do her party in October--a week after her real birthday (which is in September). We are keeping everyone's suggestions and using them for any other parties we have, also! She's already talking about a swimming party and a bowling party!

Thanks again--you all really helped!

Hi J., I live in DE too and have a 5 year old daughter and a 9 month old daughter:) For my 5 year old's Birthday party we did the Build-A-Bear thing at Christiana Mall and it was really nice:) I have been to parties at Xbos, Chucky Cheese, and the old Boomers and I am not a big fan of places like that. I was also thinking about doing a Bowling party for her, so that is an idea. Also, another friend had her daughter's 5th B-day Party at the YMCA. They do activities and what not. I hope this helps:)

If you're not too far from Smyrna, I'd suggest XBos (www.xbos.com), hands down. They have private rooms for cake, and pizza, a bowling alley, arcade, and a gigantic soft-play obstacle course. We had a party there with kids ranging in age from 3-12, and they all had a blast!

Hi J.,

I gave my son who turned 3 in july a moon bounce party at www.bettesfuncenter.com there located in Aston Pa, not Delaware but its close enuf. The children absoulutely loved it, even the fathers had a blast. Pool table, air hockey & few other things for adults, ages 1- 12 really enjoyed it
