Anticipation: Pulling the label on the biscuit dough can, waiting for it to pop
Disappointment: It fails to pop
Frustration: trying to get it to go with a spoon on the line, like it says
Anger: It doesn't work
Stress Relief: Smacking it on the counter
Back to Anger: Still doesn't work
Fear: When it pops in in your hand, when your not doing anything to it
Back to stress relief: Cursing at it.
Triumph: Realizing you have got it opened, after your heart slows down
Enjoyment: Finally getting to eat the damn things.

Anyone else every experience this? Happy Wednesday.

This evolution of opening the biscuit dough can is SCARY!

Funny how everyone is scared of this, it is like I am expecting a scary killer with a knife to jump out at me!

I'm not sure who invented the biscuit can, but apparently it wasnt someone with high blood pressure :)
In the old days you had to rap it on the counter, it didnt have the other options mentioned, so I still want to do it that way and hate it when it pops open when I'm unpeeling the wrapper!

HAHAHA this is hilariouse! I swear I always think I'm going to have a heart attack when I try to open these things! Glad I'm not the only one. What I do is put it under a huge comforter in my bedroom and use a knife to cut along the line so when it does finally POP, it dosen't make me freak the h*ll out. L)

I do home daycare and we frequently use the "in a can" bread items. My kids love them for all sorts of things (monkey bread, side dish rolls, home made pizzas of all sorts, I could go on and on).

My bigger 2-4 year olds LOVE to be a part of making any food, but especially when it involves Pop-in Bread (thats what they call it)! Sort of a rite of passage for my daycare kids to get old enough to help with the Pop-in bread and learn to roll up the crescents, etc. We all appropriately JUMP and they think it soo soo funny to see ME jump out of my skin! Does it to me Every. Single. Time!

i get bummed when it doesn't pop. I enjoy the anticipation of the pop and feel rather overly let down when I don;t get the little suprise. I feel jipped! Odd right?
All tiems it's J. opened without the pop though. I never had your frustrating experience

Our daughter shutters at the thought. Things we cannot control. Just like a Jack in th box...

Really funny.. I am going to research who invented that can..

We were soaking about this the other night. Never has bothered me, but apparently does bother my husband also.

Ha! I can totally relate!
Usually I whack it pretty good on the counter edge and it pops open.
It might help to have it sit at room temp for 10 or so min first.
The spoon method never seems to work.
