my daughter is turning one and due to our large family, we need to have the party at a park. can anyone recommend a great young kid-friendly park near Cedar Park area? there will be 1 yr old bday girl, 2 15mth olds, a 3 yr old, a 4 yr old and a 5 yr old. so far the best park seems to be Champion Park (Brushy Creek area). any suggestions help! thanks so much!

We are having my son's birthday party at a park in Leander this weekend. It is Robin Bledsoe Park. I don't know when your child's birthday is but they have a free water playscape, a regular playground & a covered pavillion.

Hi,

I agree that Champion is good, but have you seen Brushy Creek Lake Park? It's connected to Champion, but it has a great water spray park, no pool, but GREAT for little ones. Champion may be hot these days. There's also Milburn Park that has a pool, playground and big pavillion with tables. Hope this helps :) Happy First Birthday to your little one!

The park on El Salido Parkway in C.P. is wonderful!!! It has a covered pavillion and a lot of shaded equipment. Three different playscapes and a merry-go-round.

Hi T.,

I think Champion Park is different from Brushy Creek Lake Park (http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/pr_bclp.aspx). My friend had his son's 1st birthday party there and it was great. There are playscapes and water area, which is great for summer birthday party. Check out the link. I believe there is a fee for reserving pavillions but all other part of the park is free. It will be fun especially for the older kids.
Also, if you goto http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/page27861823.aspx, you can download a PDF file with all the parks in Cedar Park. Perhaps that will give you a better idea as far as what's availeable.

Hope you find a good playce and have good time!

Hye K.
