Help mothers out there my almost 14 month old son gags himself and thinks its funny. Out of no where he started sticking his fingers down his throat and then will laugh. When I take his hand out of his mouth then laughs at me and does it continuously till eventually he gets bored with it. I've givin him toys to distract him and other things but if it fits in his mouth down his throat it will go. How do I get it to not like to do that. He doesn't puke from it but at times if he did it back to back without me stopping him he would. Any advise would help. Thank you.
my son did the same thing at the same age... it's just a phase. ingore him and it'll soon pass!!!
Have you tried just ignoring him? I'm aware that's harder said than done. Remember, behavior that gets attention, gets repeated.
My son is 11 mos and has been gagging himself since he was about 5 mos. The pediatrician said he's just checking himself out and not to worry about it. I just ignore it.

I would also ignore him he thinks its funny because you give him attention. I may even get up and leave the room when he starts.
