Yesterday i posted a question about my son not feeling good and some symptoms he had!!
Since he wasn't getting better my husband and i took him to the hospital last night, & it turns out he has swollen tonsils, swollen throat, pharyngitis, acute otitis media (some type of infections in both his ears) bronchitis and asthma!!!!!!!!!!!! =( my poor baby!!
If he doesn't get better in 2-3 days we have to take him back to get admitted!! =(

this morning he woke up and was watching tv but then he was like conscious but not "here" kind of gone.... And he's face was yellow/greenish!! I called his dr but he's not in so i gotta wait till he gets back, but i want to know if anything like this has happened to any of your babies?!!! He's playing right now with his toys but he still looks very yellow and pale!! =(

I WISH I WAS THE ONE IN HIS PLACE!! =( I WISH I HAD SOME KIND OF HELP, ANY HELP WOULD BE NICE, I LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEART BUT I AM 7 MONTHS ALMOST 8 MONTHS PREGNANT AND IVE BEEN CRAMPING A LOT!!! ER now, is my reccomendation ... possible dehidration or jaundice ... please admit him now, if you have not gone already.

Take him to the dr. right away - Jaundice if not caught quick enough (if that is what it is) can cause permanent brain damage in children!! I wouldn't take any chances!

TAKE HIM TO THE ER.
Right away!

If he is pale/yellowish... that is not good.

He has multiple things wrong with him... I have Asthma... and the Doctor always says, that if skin color or finger nails changes color or turns blue, or you have labored or shallow breathing for example, that is due to lack of oxygen in the bloodstream etc. Which means, that is NOT good.

Asthma... is very serious and can be fatal.

You NEED to take your child to the ER. Pronto.

With yellowish/green coloring... that could be due to something else/liver etc.,... but you need to get him to the Hospital.... now.
DO NOT WAIT.

If that were my baby, I'd take him to the ER, now.

ER right away--don't wait. Yellow is Jaundice and could be some sort of liver thing going on. Get your son to the ER now, I will be thinking of you guys--let us know what happens.

Just go to the ER, I would. Better safe than sorry. The yellowishness makes me think of the liver, so I wouldn't wait on my dr. Your little guy has a lot going on and speediness can be key at times. Sorry you guys are going through all this, I hope all is better soon!!!

I hope he is doing better. Please don't wait for your doctor. I would take him in asap. My son's doctor never had me wait for him. I don't understand why they did not tell you to go to another doctor or the er. I would never take a chance with a baby or toddler. I would take them in asap always better to be safe. Let us know how he is.

I'd call the on call doctor. There should be one in your practice ready for phone calls even if it isn't the dr you normally see. Explain your situationto the person answering the phone. Yellow, pale skin can be a sign of jaundice and isn't something to be taken lightly. If you can't get through to the dr or have paged him and he isn't calling back, take him back to the ER. He needs someone to check out his new symptoms and evaluate what to do from there.

Hi Ari,

If you haven't already, I think you should take him into the urgent care or ER, just for peace of mind. If he does need to be admitted, at least he's in a place that he can get some help should he need further examinations or meds.

I'm so sorry to hear about your little guy. Please know that I am keeping you close in my thoughts today and will hope that he gets better very soon. Hang in there, Ari!

With best wishes,
L.

Call the hospitol you took him to and the pharmacy that filled the prescriptions. His condition did not get better and he developed 2 new symptoms! This could be a side effect of the medicine they gave him. That would be enought to have me at least at the neighborhood clinic. I turned yellow - eyeballs and all, when I had ecoli poisoning. I jaundiced due to liver damage. I'm not trying to panic you, but your instincts were right to call the dr. But don't wait for him. Call somebody else! Or go back to the hospital.

Hello, This may be nothing, it could be related to any medications he is taking, or it could be that something is effecting his liver. I would get him in as soon as possible to have it checked. They can do a blood test to check the liver. My son caught a virus when he was young (he is an adult now) and it ended up effecting his liver. He was tired and the doctor did the blood test to make sure.
Good luck with your precious baby.

Two of my daughters looked very yellow/orange, but for different reasons. One had just been eating too many carrots, squash and sweet potatoes. As soon as I started giving her more green veggies, her color went back to normal. The other had severe anemia. If you're really worried, ask for a blood test.

Are there any other docs in the practice or nurses you can talk to? Did they tell you what to look for or what to expect? Poor little guy, I would get him in again as soon as you can.

I would take him back to the hospital...people should not look yellow...it's generally a sign of a liver issue.

Good luck to you.

ER please. Could be liver problems. When did he last have any shots/vaccines of any kind? Do NOT let them give him any flu shots. He probably is just so full of congestion and you've got to get it loose and out. No dairy or soy. Poor guy and poor mom. Been there:o(

wow scary! yellow/green not a good thing..i got something like that from some kind of food poisoning when i was in Ireland..one minute i would be fine and then this over whelming ill feeling would come over me and my friends said they could actually see me change color..to a greenish yellow..
sounds like his body is fighting something..keep having him see the doctor..also google this supplement.. "serrapeptase" it will cure his ear infection and any kind of mucus ..bronchitis infections..you can get it cheap through ebates.com then go to vitacost.com get a low dosage..put some in his drink but have him take it away from food..if you have him take it..they give it to children with cystic fibrosis also..i've also taken it ..no side affects...

good luck
