I am looking for a Mother's Day out program for my son. I am looking to start in the fall. He will be 4. If not a Mother's Day out, then some sort of part time preschool that is fairly inexpensive. I live in Keller. I currently teaching but I am looking at staying home next year. My son has been in childcare his whole life so I think it is important for him to still have kid interaction. I would also like something to prepare him for kindergarten.

What can I do next?

Hi S.-

Not sure if you are still looking for a Mother's Day Out Program? My daughter belonged to North Fort Worth Baptist Church Mother's Day Out Program. Last year it was approximately $130.00 a month for two days a week, time 9:30-2:30 this is for the four-five year olds. The head of the program is very caring Tamara Steele. The premises are very secure. The teacher (Ms. Shelby) my daughter had was terrific very patient, gentle, and loving. I know there are many wonderful MDO programs, but, there are some that are not so great too. The socialization was also there with the other children. The class size was small approx. 3-4 children. There was learning alphabet, numbers-age appropriate. Hopes this helps.

I love the school my girls go to. My 4 year old and one year old go to a school 2x/week from 9am-2pm. It's only $100 a month for one child. It is in Euless though, so that might be a little bit of a drive. It is called Rainbow School and is at the Airport Freeway Church of Christ. It's a small school with only one class per age, but they learn all they need before school. My daughter who is in the "3's" knows all her shapes, colors, numbers, letters, can write her name as well as other small words and letters. Next year they focus heavily on writing and letters. She loves it!
