I'm new to the area and looking for a good mother's day out...any recommendations would be appreciated. We are moving to the Krum area soon, so anything close would be great, Denton, Ponder etc. Thanks!

My son goes to a great one at Fellowship of the Parks. It's 9-2 T/Th. It's in North Fort Worth near Keller. If that's near you, I highly recommend it.

If you live near Bedford, Woodland Heights Baptist Church offers one called Creative Beginnings. My daughter has gone there for a year, and I am pleased. Plus, it is much more affordable than most.

Don't know what location you are looking for but Church at the Cross in Grapevine has been such a huge blessing! We started preschool because my daughter was speech delayed. In 4 months, she went from a 50 word vocabulary to singing songs completely with the hand motions! We love that it is a faith based program that focuses soley on the children! Trish and her crew are amazing!

Restoration Church in Euless has a great one run by Cindy Blanton. It meets Tuesday and Thursday from 9 til 2:30. My little one was in it for two years and really profited from it.

I am from Keller as well and take my daughter to The Life Church in North Richland Hills off of Davis Blvd. It isnt that far to drive and I love...LOVE...LOVE the place.

I have a 2 1/2 year old who has PDD/NOS, High functioning autism as well as other issues. They were very accepting to my daughter and does not treat her different than any other child. They are there to help the mom out!

I also love that they make a Scrap book of your childs year there. Pictures of the first day of school, pictures of your child playing, art projects...and you get it at the end of the year.

The rooms are colorful, they do fun art projects, singing, go outside and play on their new playset (just put in last month). The teachers are so nice and love to be there.

School starts back up Jan 6th.

You can also check out The Met church in Keller. I hear that they are good. They were one of our first options but didnt have any openings.

I checked out The First Babtist Church in Keller off of Keller Parkway...but didnt like them. They were not accepting to my daughter and made me feel unwelcomed. Plus the rooms seemed bleak.

Hi C.,
What area of FTW are you looking for? I have a great recommendation if you are in NW FTW. North Fort Worth Baptist has a long-running program. They have recently done an entire remodel on that entire portion of the church and all the classrooms are gorgeous! Tamara Steele runs the program (and I believe always has) and she is fantastic. We do not attend church there (we are actually a different faith) and have only good things and praise for the program there. Even better the price is far better for what my son gets than anywhere else we checked out!

Don't know what area you are in, but my son attended and I taught at Memorial Baptist Church - now known as The Church at the Cross on William D Tate in Grapevine and it was WONDERFUL! The staff is great, the director is committed, and the teachers have access to everything they need to make your child's day awesome! It's called Children's Day Out (CDO) instead of Mother's day out b/c the focus is on the kids!
