Hello. My husband and I are trying to conceive our second child. Well I was suppose to have my last period on Feb. 5th, and it never came. So I took a test like 4 days after that, then another 4 days after that. I am thinking I didn't have a period since I was very stressed about a financial issue. So now, do I count another 30 days from the date I was suppose to start in Feb, or how do I know when I'm suppose to have my next period? I've been going 30 days and been off my birth control since Oct. So I'm just wondering when I should expect it again so I can keep track of things. Thanks!! V.

What can I do next?

I would suggest going to your doctor for a pregnancy test and exam to make sure everything is okay and if you're pregnant or not.

There is still a chance that you may be pregnant. With my second child my pregnancy test did not show up possitive till I was almost 42 days out. Turns out that my cycle that I was about to have was late, but successful. Be patient and dont give up. Listen to your body. Do you feel like you are pregnant? You may know befor the pregnancy test does. I did! Good luck!

First and for most have a check up by your doctor. You never know if there is something wrong. I also had that problem when I was trying for our son. We were not in a good place in our lives money wise and stress can throw your whole system off. It took me 3 yrs and a lot missed periods before I conseved our son. My doctor said it was due to a lot of stress in my life.I went as long as a yr. with out a period. My doctor could find nothing wrong. When I started to have cycles again and missing them again, what I did was figure out the week I should have had my period. Count out your 28 or 30 day cycle mark it on a calender for when you think you should start for the next month and see when you really start. Just keep track of your cycles. If you miss one but are still not pregnant DON'T stress about it. Everything works out in the end. I hope that helps.

I have missed a couple periods like this as well and generally, it is just that I've skipped one. Then 30 days later I get one as scheduled. Since you are trying to conceive, you may want to get an ovulation kit so you can track it with more certainty this month. If you don't get a period next month, you may want to schedule an appointment with your doctor.

I would indeed follow up with the Dr. if I were you to make sure you are not pregnant yet.
I would also suggest to use a fertility monitor. There are fertility tests which are pretty affordable. You use them like a pregnancy test and it will tell you when you are most fertille. I personally used the clear blue easy fertillity monitor. It is a big expensive but well worth the investment. You test 10 days in a month and it will tell you if your level is low, medium or high. You can buy them on email and sell it after you have conceived for about the same amount you bought it for!
Good luck, I am sending you baby dust!

Two of the times we tried to have kids (numbers 3 and 4) I got so frustrated after a couple months that it messed my cycle all up. I skipped one and sometimes two or three entire months. I got so confused. I used to have to take a pregnancy test every other month in order to let my mind believe I wasn't pregnant in order for my period to come. Like clock work, about two or three days after a negative test, it came. I also think if you are stressing out about being or not being pregnant, it could make it harder for you to conceive. My advice would be to relax, calm down, and go on about your normal life. If you are pregnant, you will know soon enough. If the test says you are not, you most likely are not. Your stress is most likely the cause of your messed up cycle. Just breathe and enjoy the practice of trying to make a baby!
