I know we spend a LOT of time preparing and cooking meals for our families! Is there a meal you won't prepare?

For me? It's liver and onions.

I don't eat green beans either. And just last week?! i took the crust of the bread - I've not done that in YEARS!!! So is it taste buds have changed or what?!

What can I do next?

My dad use to make and eat liver and onions. I never tried it because I couldn't get past the smell so I've never made it.

I'm not a fan of very spicy food so when I cook something spicy I leave out half of the amount and put it on the table where hubby can add more spice if he wants. I won't cook anything with anchovies ever

I won't cook sauerkraut - nor can I stand to have it cooked in the house. Hubby loves it so I always remind him when I go out of town that it is a good time to make it :) On the other hand, hubby won't eat a darn thing with tuna in it so I rarely make it.

I do try to "make" myself like things and sometimes it works. I used to really hate brussel sprouts, but now I eat them on a fairly regular basis. Part of it is finding a way to cook something I don't like in a way I find palatable. I'm still working on turnips . . . Maybe in 7 years I will love them!

Seafood.
I do have a salmon in foil recipe that Rod loved and I would make it for him and take about 2 bites.

Eggs... I've never liked eggs so Rod was the one to cook eggs in the house. The smell makes me sick.

I will not cook or eat black eyed peas. I don't even like being in the house when they are being cooked. YUCK.

Ya .. I've never made liver and onions. It always had such a weird color and texture if I recall. Just can't go there.

I'm not fussy so if someone prepared it, I will dig in. Stewed tomatoes though kind of gross me out.

I guess I like just about all foods...but I guess there are some dishes that just don't appeal to me...like you said, liver and onions just does not sound good! I also spend a lot of time preparing food for the family. I like eating home cooked meals and fresh foods...I'm a big believer in eating for health. :)

While my family doesn't like liver and onions - I love it and make it for myself every so often.

We don't eat okra.
My husband loves nuts but hates nut butters - he doesn't like the texture.

There is just one food I can't even have in the house. Cottage cheese. The very thought makes me feel ill.

I've had ostrich liver, stewed iguana, goat's head, all kinds of raw stuff, but I can't even look at cottage cheese.

i've got a few! i'm with you on liver- blegh. i don't eat any organ meats. the urine has to be washed out of kidneys. EWWWWWW!

no raw fish. or slimy things in shells.

i like raw cabbage but the smell of cooked cabbage turns my stomach. and no eggplant. blick. or asparagus. or those vile little brussel sprouts. boo.

my palate has expanded vastly from my young days, but there are some lifelong dislikes i've never overcome.

fun topic!

Liver wouldn't be on my list. Same with oysters - my mother used to make some oyster casserole at Thanksgiving that she forced me to eat, and the revulsion stuck with me. It also spread to other raw shellfish like mussels. I do eat steamers on occasion, as well as clam chowder, baked/grilled scallops and shrimp. Not a huge fan of lobster, mostly because I don't like to work that hard to get my food! I'm considered a very strange person in New England, I can tell you that!

I don't cook foods that my husband dislikes because it's a waste of effort, but I do eat them a lot when I go out. I never, ever order chicken when I go out - too much of that at home and I like to order things that are harder to prepare.

And in my view, the crust is the best part!
