Looking for Shoestring Lock

Hi Moms,
Now that my little one is trying to walk, I've bought some shoes for when he is outside of the home. As much as I've tried to find shoes with velcro, I've bought some shoes with shoestrings. So now I'm looking for the things (not sure what they are called) that go on the shoestings to keep babies from untying the shoestring. I've been to BabiesRUs, Walmart, Target, and a few other places. I've even searched online, i.e Babcenter.come, Albeebaby.com, etc. Does anyone know where I can find these online or in the Metroplex?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

This site is awesome! I've found the shoestring locks but also got some good suggestions on other solutions too! And I've also found some really cute shoes with velcro. Thanks to all who responded.

Stride Rite has a shoe string lock thing. Tiebuddies.com, try that. Hope that helps!

Hi - I have alot of shoes with shoestrings for my kiddos. You don't need a special lock. Just tie the ears of the bow in a knot after you tie the bow. (Tie a knot, then tie a bow, then tie the loops of the bow into another knot.) He will not be able to get it undone.

My little boy undoes his velcro straps and takes his shoes off everytime he gets the chance, so shoes with strings that I can tie like this are usually my preference...

I don't understand how you didn't find velcro shoes! I found some at both target and walmart for my (now) 9mo. baby girl and I bought her first pair at target a few months ago and saw plenty of velcro shoes at target for boys... cute ones too! I even saw some at walmart where I bought her second pair of shoes (tennis shoes). If you can't find the lock thing, try looking again for velcro shoes, they are out there and there are plenty of cute ones! Try walmart off of eastchase and 30 or the one off or 121 and north beach. Target off of 7th street in ft worth has them too. Hope this helps!

J.,
Walmart does have them. They are just hard to find. I see them there all the time. they are usually in the shoe dept. hanging up on a random hook. Also Stride Rite has them. They are in pretty much any mall. I used the buy mine at walmart and Stride Rite. I know if you ask someone at Walmart or Target they dont understand what you are looking for. Check again and check Stride Rite. If i see any i will let you know.

These are the best things for kids with shoes that have shoe strings. Nothing else compares to them.

My son liked those as well and we always got them at Luke's Locker the running store. They are usually on the counter or behind it. There is a Luke's in Colleyville by Market Street and one on University in the shopping square. Hope you find them.

I think I saw what you are looking for at Stride Rite. I was at the Stride Rite at the Parks Mall in Arlington. However, I am sure that all their stores carry it.
