Looking for Inexpensive, Toddler Fun!

Hi mommies! I have a 2 1/2 year old little boy. I want to do fun stuff with him outside of the house. Now that it's getting chilly, I am running out of ideas. We are looking into a Gymboree Memebership. He doesn't really like the "jump zone" thing too much. Where do we take our toddlers to have some interactive, stimulating fun?

What can I do next?

I am in the MOMS CLub of Cumming North. It is a great group with 3 to 7 activities to choose from each week. You can get a playgroup or just go to acttivities. It's a wonderful way to meet friends. Our membership VP is Kristine at ____@____.com you are in a different chapter, she can let you know. Plus, you learn about all sorts of different places in the area to go to.

Also, I have my daughter enrolled in the City of CUmming gymnastics. She loves it. It's $40 for 6 weeks. It's money well spent. The city & county both have various classes you can join.

The play area at North Point Mall is great - near Dillards.
The library is always a hit with my little one.
The Art Barn
Sandy Decks on 141.

Cumming Playhouse - www.playhousecumming.com
Kudzu Playhouse - www.kudzuplayhouse.org
Atlanta Puppetry Arts

I look forward to seeing other's replies. Thanks for the post.

The best thing to do is join a meet up group.I found a great meetup group at Meetup.com. They plan lots of events that are fun and you can meet some great people at the same time. I have a two and a half year old as well.

However, if you would rather not join a group here are some ideas that my little one likes.

INK Museum in Gainesville, GA (INK is Interactive Neighborhood for Kids)

The Mall toddler area. It is a great place to go and just let them run and play while you relax for a minute (or if like me roll on the floor and join in)

Children's Museum in downtown Atlanta is incredible for the little ones.

Here are a few suggestions that work well for me and my little one. Hope you find some success.

A lot of times I take my daughter to the Kids Klub @ LA Fitness while I work out. It gives me time to do my thing and we have up to 2 hours at a time in Kids Klub. It works great for us, they have an indoor playground and lots of interaction with other kids and fun stuff to do. They are building a new one @ Mall of GA, I go to the one at Johns Creek.
